Nice, got 'em all downloaded and ready.
Would you recommend that mod that makes everything viewable from a distance? ( as seen in general screenshot thread )
or this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27500 ?
The first one.
Everytime I see this thread I get the urge to play again, then I reinstall and do the same god damn thing every time.
Great game though, the only thing that bugs me about the engine is the lack of dynamic shadows.
As of right now I'm following this install guide :

Does anyone know a good open spot without enemy/friendly npc's?
I prefer inside somehwere.
I'm planning a huge NPC battle.
No , sorry. Maybe when I get a chance to play more.
Anyway I tried out that mod that makes everything viewable from a distance. My FPS dropped to 15 due to it. Maybe when Nvidia comes out with the 3 series, and I get some more RAM I'll try it again.
Have you guys checked out the Ancient Towers mod? Definitely one of my favorite mods on Oblivion. It's got like fifteen rooms in it and a lot of pretty cool interactive stuff. The download is pretty huge, but it's worth it.

The teleport map on that mod... I've seen that before I think.

Damn looks huge, I might get this later on.

I reinstall, spend hours reinstalling the Unique Landscape mods+FCOM, hit an error, rage quit, and uninstall.
Every time:(

Did you use the FCOM cheat sheet?

Aw dammit it requires Shivering Ilses.
Allthough I can get it for xmas :D
So a question, would a Steam version of SI work with a retail oblivion disk?
Or should I try to get SI retail? But would that require me to reinstall all mods etc?
Did you use the FCOM cheat sheet?
Yeah, I have managed to get it work a couple times.
It's still a bitch to get it all, hours for downloads etc.
Need a repack or something.
You have to follow the cheat sheet word for word.
Damn I forgot how beautiful the game is :

Game expansions bought via Steam won't work on the retail versions.
So guys. There's this mod called "Darker Cyrodiil". It basically makes everything dark. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to exist, even though I've searched all over the internet. I've found Darker Imperial City, but that's about it.

So how did you find it in the first place?
Read about it.
It must be found!

Holy shit, what a coincidence, I just read about that like two days ago. I can't find it either, which sucks, I'm sick of looking at bright-happyland all the time.
Are they making a new one anytime soon? Because I loved this one. (Got to level 27 on my PS3 before it broke)
There was a rumor about a new one in the making.
Not happening, Betheseda is not making a TES V.

also good news.
Of course they're making another one. The Elder Scrolls is Bethesda. They aren't going to just stop making them.
I hope they keep using the Gamebryo Engine.
Go ahead.
Rate me dumb.
But only do it after watching this: http://www.pixelux.ch/content/view/55/53/

If they were to use it again, I'd like to see a MAJOR overhaul, none of this fallout 3 shit. I want my mind to be absolutely BLOWN like when Oblivion first came out.

It's a nice engine, but it's so buggy and runs bad with more then 10 mods. And Gamebryo games tend to have awesome mods.
Basically I hope they fix it up a bit.
I need the willpower to stop cheating.

Its not the difficulty, just the length of doing it.
