I didn't realise there was a megathread, I've been hanging around the custom forum. I'll repost my thread content here, and maybe get some replies:
Have any of you done the Midas quests? I don't understand how I am meant to get to that island in the plane, and if I am meant to use ice walk, how do I get the astral beacon caps? I don't see any on the island I am on. Also, why are the ingredients so hard to come by? I can't get sigil stones because my character hasn't begun the main quest (and I don't particularly want to) so I can't get the essences. Do any of you use this mod? What's the easiest way to get spells (without cheating)?
Also, I need reccommendations for magic mods - currently my mage has overly powerful summon spells, but my destruction spells (20 pts ice, 30 points shock etc.) are useless, so I never get to be part of the action. Do I need to make more powerful spells? Because if I create more powerful destruction spells, they are either outside my casting skill (Journeyman) or use too much magicka to be cast repeatedly.
I don't know what magic mods you currently have, but some goods ones (that I'm almost certain are compatible with Midas) are C++ Conjuration, and Supreme Magicka. They're both pretty good.
(Also, if you're trying to find Conjuration++, type Plus Plus instead of ++ in the search bar)
I only use some major mods like Deadly Reflex, Martigen's Monster Mod, and Francesco's Leveled Creatures and Items.
God damn clannfears at level 1.
Just bought Morrowind:GOTY on steam today to.

No OOO?
I forgot how much I love Sheogorath.
This calls for a celebration! Cheese for everyone!
Or maybe, cheese for no one! It's just as much of a celebration if you don't like cheese
The only thing I don't like about Oblivion (and this goes for Morrowind too) is that you start (at least I do) to develop a routine. You do the same things over and over, and the only thing that seems to be able to change that is mods. I wish there was something to wipe my mind of knowledge of the game.
Is this game worth buying? It's $23 in the Steam sale.

Definitely. Get the game, and get some of the mods listed in the OP. Have a BLAST.

Should I get the regular GotY version of the Deluxe GotY version?
Regular ($23) comes with only Shivering Isles and the Knights of the Nine DLC, and the Deluxe ($26) comes with all of them.

Well considering Deluxe is only 3 dollars more and has at least over that in extra DLC, go with Deluxe. You even get Horse Armour!

Yes, in a pack of bondage models/animations/armor.
I was looking for a roleplay mod for Morrowind (As it made almost every character as a companion if you worked it out alright.) and I remembered it had pregnancy in it, so I typed preg in and well... Fuck.

... Later
The download is in the comments section, apparently TESNEXUS glitched the download.
We need to treat this as a scientific breakthrough.
I should really reinstall this, but with all my mods it takes up over 10GB.
I would get this game for PC, but mine sucks shit. Hopefully I get some money for Christmas for a new one.

It can be run on some surprisingly low specs if you use "Very Low", and performance can be improved further through the use of some mods.

I played it on my old pc that only had a 64mb video card.

My laptop can run oblivion, but not very well. I have to set the resolution to something lower than 800x600 to get it to stop stuttering. That's my laptop though. My desktop can run it on high or max, just little to no anti-alising.
I'm well above recommended requirements and it still stutters for me when I'm in cities :(
I failed at adding mods to the game and i had to redownload it from Steam...

same here, it's fucking annoying
Get the NOstutter mod or streamline mod. Or oblivion mesh optimiser.
Yeah, Streamline is a must if you have lots of mods/a not-so-good PC.
Jizz my pants
