I've installed FCOM Convergence since I lost all my mods and savegames when switching to Windows 7.
At first I was a bit 'meh', but then I was mauled by a big black bear. Oblivion just got difficult, this I tell you.
Adapt! :eng101:
Every time I get killed by a Bear in FCOM I think about how Steven Colbert was right about bears.
Reminds me of the back of the crysis case

They changed it about 3 months after it came out.

My data folder looks like it had a rave
They sometimes steal food, but you don't see it very often in vanilla Oblivion. I had stored some food in a container at the vineyards near skingrad and some redguard kept stealing my food, I had enough and locked the container and watched him try open the container, after some tries he gave up, snuck up on someone and pickpocketed her, she yelled for the guards and they started chasing him around until he fled indoors and was killed, his body slammed up on some table where people were eating and stuff was knocked everywhere, that was so fun. Later another redguard did the same thing (damn redguards).
Another time I saw someone in the mages guild use chameleon and try to take some food from a table, the others started attacking her and a guard came inside, they suddenly teamed up and killed the guard and continued their daily rutines, she was from a mod so I guess the author forgot to make her part of the guild or something.
They only steal food occasionally.
Ok, good. At least they do it every now and then. I'm glad though they did make it rare. Peasants getting slaughtered by the masses and neverending battles between peasants and guards would be funny at first, but would probably get annoying after awhile, considering most towns would be devoid of life.
Martigens is amazing by the way, to the above poster. It adds so much besides just creatures, new crafting and items, it's a definite try at least.
Any idea how to install it for Steam?
Shit, just read that it was a feature of the Radiant AI, but they removed it due to severe issues (for example, a guard killing half a town to get some food). The AI still is a bit lively though, with bandits, scheduled NPCs, and what-not. It's interesting following NPCs to see what they do. They chat, eat, sleep, work, etc..
The AI for Oblivion was originally designed to be amazing, but its own ambition led to it being scaled back.
The best example I read was when an NPC was given the task of sweeping a road, but in order to do so it required a brush. So what did it do? It went and murdered an NPC who owned a brush and went about its merry way.

The AI is still superb, especially when compared to other RPGs, but I agree, its ambitions held it back. NPCs murdering others because they're required to sweep doesn't make much sense, not to mention an AI of the original ambition would lead to several issues, such as peasants randomly massing to kill the player because they needed food.

In a lot of ways Oblivion's AI seems similar to Dwarf Fortress's. Though Dwarf Fortress usually accepts the crazy quirks in exchange for having more robust AI. I wonder if Bethesda will be able to fully realize it in the next Elder Scrolls game.
I saw a couple of mudcrabs earlier, nasty little creatures.
Are there any mods that gives closed helms like this?

I'm the silver haired gangster in charge. The short guy's name is Dewey, he ain't that bright but he can hit the broad side of a colovian mudcrab standing in the Gold Coast. That chick in the blue armor, she's Sasha, isn't very attractive but at least she's willing to charge into battle before I do.

Also, does anyone know how to install Martigen's Monster Mod for the Steam version of the game (it's also the deluxe game of the year edition)? I'm interested in the AI improvements it makes.
