A little bump. I just finished the MM9 on Xbox live. This shit is awesome.
I now have enough money on psn to buy a megaman game. Should I buy MM 9 or MM 10?
I'd suggest just looking at gameplay videos or comparisons but they both seem very similar, neither have a deep or interesting plot and are just nostalgic cash ins.
I'm an extreme Mega Man fan. I like all the series but the Zero games are my all-time favorite.
Also, RMZ Mythos tracks.
Pure awesome.

So, I just ordered Mega Man Anniversary Collection on the Gamecube(yes, I knoiw about the control scheme mixup) and I want to know, which game should I play first? The first seems too tough for me to start with, so which should I tackle first?
I think 4 or 5, the one after you first get the ability to charge your buster (the one with gravity man)
I found those to be easier than most of the older ones, that's just me.
I like all the megaman games that I've played. Never tried the star or battleforce games, but the ZX and zero one's look kind of cool.
My favorite has to be the MML universe ones. Tron Bonne was pretty nice in terms of diversity and those servbots are pretty funny too. Shit had some awesome music in it too. The nakkai desert music kicked ass.

I've got a feeling that the Megaman series might be dying, but here's three major things to note;
- Megaman Universe was cancelled back in April. I don't remember the reason why if any.
- Megaman Legends was cancelled July 18th, although Capcom is offering the chance of petitions if they get 900k signatures (which is borderline unlikely if not impossible to procure from the fanbase). They're also being asshats about it.
- Rockman Online is supposedly still in-development, but there's been no news or media from it for awhile and we're still assuming it'll be Korea-only. It might be finished considering it was a lot further along in development and is being completely handled by another company, but after what's happened, i'm not so sure.
Finally, there's no new Megaman games in development and Capcom is known for their policy of rehashes (especially for Street Fighter) and retreading games if they sold well; since the only games that have 'sold well' are Classic 9 and 10 along with the Battle Network / Starforce games (and even their sales slowly died off), well, this might not end well.
Megaman 10 was too easy. The characters are a little more on the lame side. Basically it feels like Megaman 3 when 9 felt more like 2. 2 being superior to 3.
I always liked 3 more. Thought it was a little edgier and just a much more solid game in all aspects, especially the soundtrack. I've beaten all of them recently but I never went past 3 when NES was the rage.
Loved 7 though. Lots of hate for that game for some reason.

How can they know if the sales will be high if they don't release any fucking games?
Heh, that explains why I prefer MM10 over 9, because I prefer 3 over 2 also.
Apparently Inti Creates is currently working on a game that is said to be 'climactic'. While it's probably ZX3 I'd like to see a game that connects the X series with Zero because that's the missing link I want to see covered the most.
Don't they give enough story to figure out what happens? I'd like to know where Mega Man went before X is discovered.
I had a dream where Megaman was rebooted by Capcom as a Gears of War style shooter. Megaman was part of Doctor Wily's robot army to rule the world, except he rebelled and joined the resistance, which is lead by Doctor Light. There was a cover system and all of the bosses were quicktime events.

I had my own idea of a gameplay reboot; the standard gameplay as the requisite Mega Man (whichever series) plays like an exploration-or-platforming-oriented Lost Planet with lots of retuning to fit the game. If the game has someone like Zero or another close-range fighter, it'd be something more like a refined Dead Rising with various attacks and combos along with crowd control abilities or such.
