I had some really bad dps where the next wave started before we were done with the current.
Maybe it was glitched, but I just always assumed. Haven't really had a bad group since then.
I don't really want to suggest this, but you could always use a little crowd control. Repenting the riflemen is awesome.

I remember the first time we almost did Northrend Beasts Heroic Icehowl was down to 1% when he enraged, he was at 5000hp 0.2% when he did his little "I win" move that wipes everyone at once.
