I don't ever use speakers anymore, it pisses off my parents. Also going to college in the fall, it will probably piss off any room mates I have
I use both, but when there's an issue of me waking or disturbing people, I use headphones.
Headphones with a mic attached. Doesn't disturb anyone, ever. But the best reason is the sound quality,and the surround sound effect from having decent headphones. Mine is 5.1, and I can hear exactly where a sound came from, most of the time. So I can hear when people are sneaking behind me (very useful in games such as TF2 and MW2) and also I can hear quieter noises, such as people swapping weapons, giving away their position in a sneaky game of S&D. Yea, headphones are great.
Actually depends on what I'm playing. If it's something that requires precision sound (CoD, BF) then I wear headphones.
If I go to play something like GMod, TF2, or any RTS where I don't really need to hear where sounds are coming from, I turn my speakers on and put my headset around my neck to use the mic. A decent speaker set (TV speakers are DEFINITELY a no-no) will sound just as good as a regular headset. (God forbid Sennheisers)
Doesn't matter if people are talking or not. I just close my door and make sure my speakers aren't turned up too loud.
I'm surprised. I thought less people would use headphones.
The only time I use any kind of headphones is for Skype/Ventrilo/etc, where I filter that chat through my headset so I can talk to people while gaming.

Same. The only reason I have used them recently was to drown out my brother playing games.
The sound quality has more than tempted me to stick with them though.
My turtlebeach ear force X1 work perfectly with games from both xbox 360 and computer.
also headphones are good because you can blast porn without gettin the cops called on you :flashfap:
