Now how do seeds fit into this?
It's a seed for a random number generator which his perlin noise algorithms use.
Whats with the hacked in tools. I'm not saying you hacked in all those ores or anything, but why did you have to hack in diamond tools when you have all that ore. And why didn you hide it when the video started? And why did you hack in 64 stacks of tools?
He used InvEdit to give himself 64 of every tool I guess, so he doesn't need to ever get a new pick for example.

That stuff happens more often than you would think.
Cobble can be generated naturally where water meets lava.
But in the air?
I challenge someone to get to the point where the savegame starts fucking up.
It was done a long time ago, at the start of Infdev in fact.

Old, but same principles.

This is basically what still happens today.
He used InvEdit to give himself 64 of every tool I guess, so he doesn't need to ever get a new pick for example.
Yes I was making some large buildings underground in that world so I hacked my tools.
But in the air?
Oh, no. That's definitely an anomaly.
This happened to me after converting.
Reminds me of .18 Dwarf Fortress, where you can't dig ten blocks without hitting a vein of something.
im at 35000,1000 but theres still nothing interesting
The Int32 maximum is 2,147,483,647, you've got a ways to go. And that's the positive end of the chunk count. Not of positions.
I still remember how I got all excited when I met a boundary in the early alpha versions.
I want to get to the edge of where it's nearly unplayably glitchy, build a nether portal, and travel a few thousand more blocks into the glitchiness and see what happens when I portal out.

That's a good idea, and a much faster way to get to the end of the world too, but wouldn't the nether end as well?
Can this cause server lag on multiplayer? Because I kinda just tried it on a multiplayer game.

But I see that kind of stuff from a brand new generated map?
Also I don't get the joke.

might just be my minecraft not messing up :(
and the joke is from inception
i think you mean deeper and inception didn't have like dream bedrock stopping you from doing that
which is unfortunate because if it did, it might not have sucked

no, I said further for a reason because wasnt getting any big glitchy terrain :downs:

still no glitches.
But I see that kind of stuff from a brand new generated map?

You can see a few chunks that don't match up with adjacent ones, the terrain generation is definitely acting a bit flakier on those screenshots.
does anyone have any idea how much disk space it would take?
Can this cause server lag on multiplayer? Because I kinda just tried it on a multiplayer game.
Yes no doubt about it after about 400 in my bud's server the thing almost dies. It's going to take longer then that usually our server is a piece of shit.
I'm currently at X:10933 Y:65 Z:712 I've seen some strange things on the way here. Some of the distance was covered in the nether some walking.
I have screenshots I can post if anyone wants.
[editline]12th March 2011[/editline]
Also lots of punkins have been found not all of them collected though.
I would like to see a picture of that
Missed it when Minecraft generated cool landscapes, now it's just the same, sigh.

Most of it looks really normal now that I look back.
then what is in the end of the netherworld?
then what is in the end of the netherworld?
If I had to guess I'd say that eventually you'd just hit solid netherrack as the cave generator would break.

Still no glitches.
Only thing I've spotted so far is big areas of gravel but nothing I would consider out of the ordinary.
