One of my fondest memories of Battlefield, people teamkilling for vehicles, aircraft in particular.
In 1942 on Gazala, I was running to an empty Stuka with another teammate when he teamkilled by a guy up the hill behind us. I asked him why he did it, he said he looked at him funny.
He jumped in the Stuka, and I got on the MG-42 tail gun. I inquired if he was any good and he replied with "im the best pilot on this server"
He taxied down the runway and crashed into a tree 5 seconds later.
On BF2, Wake Island, I was manning the Phalanx when I saw a guy run up and jump into an F-35 that had just spawned, a sniper ran up, shot him in the head with an M95, and jumped in, another sniper ran up, shot him in the head, and got in, a Spec-Ops guy ran up and attached C-4 to it, then a J-10 flew in and bombed everyone.

People still find a way to do this in bad company 2. Even on servers with friendly fire disabled.
i used to love this game but punkbuster would always fuck my game up :saddowns:
Fucking cd tray still won't open

Got my CD tray fixed. All it took was a crowbar and several gorillas to help me push down on it.
Anyone got any recommended servers besides the ones already mentioned?

Absolutely love BF2. It's probably the PC game I've spent most hours in, for what feels like very good reasons. The game somehow manages to feature the best of both worlds of vehicle and infantry combat whilst still achieving a perfect game balance without being "shallow". Combine all that with the awesome teamplay system that feels really rewarding (which really helps getting strangers to cooperate) and you've got this winner online war game.
I really hope BF3 can be the same - There is nothing about the game aside from the dated graphics that I'd really, honestly like to change.

Yeah i got it working now, but i wanted to atleast try and see if i can try flying, before i went onto a server.
Anyway i crashed a full black hawk into the ocean.

Heh, I found an old disc that I put the 1.5 patch on, so I just need to download 1.41. :downs:
Anyone remember the video "20ID does BF2" I don't have it anymore, but it was an epic 20minute frag video from the clan. Great music and editing, with some hilarious scenes. Like one guy destroying a whole team with a buggy or knifing around an entire base without them knowing.

Aw man I just remembered, I had a full flight simulator joystick set and I'd switch over to them whenever I'd get in a jet/helicopter.

Best was damaging a blackhawk with a J10 MG and then bailing into it so you get the kill but live.
Ever crashed into a blackhawk with a J10 and go through the middle, blowing it up but living with 2 bars (closest to burning as possible)? I dunno if you can in 1.5 but I've had it happen twice, three times max.
Is this game still worth getting 5 years after its release? ($20 from EA website)
