are people seriously hating on craig? he was a breath of fresh air after brosnan's mediocre movies (with the exception of goldeneye).
Fresh air? Hardly.
That's not the fucking point. Brosnan was the star of Goldeneye not Daniel "I'm a horrible Bond" Craig.
True, but Sean Connery was still better. [editline]12:35AM[/editline] Wait that was Goldfinger... [editline]12:35AM[/editline] What the fuck ever he was still the best Bond.
Fresh air? Hardly.
i guess you would've liked to see more ridiculous ice palaces. sorry craig disappointed you.
GoldenEye for the Wii, "developed from the ground up" to take "advantage of the latest technology

i guess you would've liked to see more ridiculous ice palaces. sorry craig disappointed you.
No, but I would've liked a Bond that could act like Bond and not like a gorilla dressed in a suit with anger issues.
No, but I would've liked a Bond that could act like Bond and not like a gorilla dressed in a suit with anger issues.
daniel craig's depiction of bond was pretty close to the bond in ian flemming's novels. a bond that wasn't "perfect", occasionally made rash decisions, and was more of an anti-hero.

The Bond that has been depicted and built up over the years into something people cherish is what I wanna see. Not this brooding angry Bond crap. If I wanna see an action movie with a protagonist like that I have plenty of other action movies to choose from.

I don't think there's any way to make a perfect Goldeneye remake. They could give it nothing but a graphics upgrade, but then people might say they're not changing enough, and it'd be pointless. They could implement ragdoll physics/Euphoria, but then people might complain that it's less realistic than the old motion-capture animations. On the other hand, they could leave the motion-capture animations in, and people would still complain that it doesn't have up-to-date ragdoll physics like every other shooter. Basically any change made to the mechanics or the interface or anything would be met with dislike from some group of fans. But at any rate, I think this is fake.
no please just no :saddowns:
he may be "different", sure, but change isn't always bad.
In this case it is.
I have never played a fps I liked on the wii. This is a great game as it is. Why don't they just put it on virtual console as it is. Id rather play it again with a gamecube controller if anything.
This is going to be aweso-
Already ruined by using Craig as Bond.
FUCK [editline]07:06AM[/editline]
can the Wii even run Goldeneye?
HAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAHAHAHAHA wow i hope you're not serious [editline]07:11AM[/editline]
Let's take the Chrono series into account. One group of people were remaking Chrono Trigger for the SNES into 3D for the PC, for free. Square-Enix C&D'd them so they wouldn't lose profits possibly. Two seperate groups tried making unofficial fan sequels to Chrono Trigger, one being made with RPG Maker and the other being a ROMhack of the original game. Both were C&D'd by SE for reasons I don't remember. Goldeneye: Source aims to recreate the original multiplayer of Goldeneye 64 with online multiplayer and additional features, and if Activision was a bunch of money-hungry buggers like they're being made out to be, it's very likely they'd C&D the mod to not lose profits - IF this remake was real.
Don't forget some French guy ported Starcraft onto DS as a homebrew project. He did some progress and you can download what he has done, but Blizzard sent him a C&D before he could finish.
In this case it is.
wrong
Quantum of Solace blew, I agree, but CR was more of a return to the original Connery films, From Russia with Love and Dr No mostly I mean, look at the last Brosnan film. It was fucking ridiculous. Fucking ice palaces
Listen to this man.
Why is it Wii only? I know Goldeneye was on the N64 but.. C'mon..
Except we're not reading the books we're watching the movies. If I wanna see an action movie with a protagonist like that I have plenty of other action movies to choose from.
The reason they got rid of Mr invincible perfect Bond was because he was becoming/had become completely unbelievable (and subsequently unrelatable to the audience) especially when the Bourne series came along and proved you could make a spy film without dumb gadgets and all of this shit. Die Another Day was an absolutely horrible film, gorging on product placement and references from previous better films in the series (mostly the early ones). Personally I love Casino Royale, it's an incredibly classy film. There's an actual storyline there (unfortunately ruined in Quantum of Solace) that you can be interested in, not just 'dumb supervillain wants to ruin the world, James Bond saves the world'.
I mean, look at the last Brosnan film. It was fucking ridiculous. Fucking ice palaces
Those are real. And it was still way more entertaining than CR or QOS.
Those are real. And it was still way more entertaining than CR or QOS.
Compare the one in Die Another Day to real ones like those in the article, it is absurd
Compare the one in Die Another Day to real ones like those in the article, it is absurd
So you're saying that something is absurd in a bond movie?
So you're saying that something is absurd in a bond movie?
I was only saying that what he said wasn't actually was :)
to real ones like those in the article, it is absurd
And a hose that launches into space isn't? Or a gem that activates a space to land EMP strike? Or a pill that makes you explode due to filling you too full of air? James bod was never meant to be believable. Although Goldfinger was based on a real person called Goldfinger who set up a vast array of apartment buildings. The people who lived in them complained that they became too messy and he said "I build these houses for people and they trash them."
I was only saying that what he said wasn't actually was :)
Bond has always been about having something somewhat plausible blown to ridiculous proportions. Underwater bases and space stations are both very possible in real life but if they were realistic in a film it wouldn't be fun to watch.
Hey here's an idea why don't we try originality. Look, it doesn't even have to be a new IP. Look at Arkham Asylum, that was a great game. Red Dead Redemption isn't a remake or a sequel or anything (it has nothing to do with Revolver) and it's brilliant as well. Or you can just be derivative, then complain that for some reason there's no good media any more. You are the reason we are culturally stagnating. SORT YOURSELVES OUT.
ah shit if only they could remake perfect dark, Microsoft made a bollix of it :(
Activision? Craig? Remake? Uggg this is going to be horrible. Specially the Craig bit. Each Bond had their own style. Whenever they changed actors for 007, they had a massive change of style for the movie. Putting Craig in Goldeneye is like putting the Gears of War people in a splinter cell game.
Already ruined by using Craig as Bond.

Its going to be ruined too.
since the original still exists it can't be "ruined"
Maybe on it's own, but as a Bond film it failed miserably. No gadgets, no humor etc. And then Quantum of Solace just dragged the Bond-series further down.
Hey hey, newsflash: when you reboot a series, you can do whatever the fuck you want with it. By your logic Batman Begins wasn't a good "batman" film because it wasn't a over the top camp borderline mardi gras action movie. Quantum of Solace did suck ass however.
It's activision. Goddamnit.
Remade to use the retarded wiimote? Good way to ruin the game!
