When I heard soap talk in mw2. It took a lot of time and rehabilitation to get over it.
Gregori dieing in Half-Life 2.
When someone ruined MW2 for me just before it actually happened.
The ending of Unreal 2 was pretty sad.
The end of every single DBZ game ever. [sp]They have a big BBQ party[/sp] [sp] The sad thing is the amount of meat needed to sustain a gang of super saiyans [/sp]
The Boss dying in MGS3, especially sad considering the circumstances behind her death. Her burial as a Jane Doe didn't really help either.
Final Fantasy: Crisis Core ending was really sad, I couldn't resist and I had to cry.
I found it very sad in that part in half-life where the guard is lying on the floor where the sniper is shooting him and hes all like "Help me.. I'm dying..." and then he dies :(
Far Cry 2 endings are sad.
Fable: The Lost Chapters was an epic and action-filled game but it had a very deep and very sad storyline. I like it because the "evil" and "good" paths actually make sense; your childhood is ruined, your dad is killed and your sister and mom gets taken away, and then you can either become that evil hero who wants to revenge the world, or that good guy who "knows what it feels like" and wants to fight the evil that killed his family.

Indeed!
The ending of Assasin's Creed 2. The ending was so bad it was sad. I nearly cried, that's how bad it was.
When Naughty Dog got realistic. And didnt continue Crash. ;(
Pikmin ending. Poor pikmin :(
A tip.. use spoiler tags.
When the Age of Empires series stopped due to closure of Ensemble Studios.
Nintendogs, if your dog hasn't had a bath...never again :frown: Honestly though, the saddest I could think of is probably HL2:Ep2.
The first time I played Silent Hill (the first one) I didn't get the best ending. I think that was the first time I truly felt sad about a video game's story.
Gears of War 2 [sp]Finding Maria, fuck that made me almost cry :([/sp]
Gears of War 2 Maria Damn.. the music, the feeling i get.. Fucking sad. (He did it to relieve her from her pain)
The triage at dawn moment in Half Life 2 was damn sad. Also, in fallout 3 [sp]when you must get out of the vault for the second time[/sp] and [sp]when Dad dies[/sp]. But the saddest scene I've ever seen in a video game was MGS4, [sp]when big boss dies after talking to snake[/sp] along with metro 2033, because though you fulfill your objective, [sp]you realize how selfish it was and that you destroyed a whole civilisation.[/sp] [editline]04:09PM[/editline] And RDR wasn't really sad, more like fukken weird because you're not really waiting for it.
Metal Gear Solid 4, not necessarily a certain moment, but the ENTIRE game. If I had to choose, I guess the most nostalgic and sad moment would be the return to Shadow Moses. All those distant memories... Really makes you feel like you've been on an emotional journey...
Final Fantasy: Crisis Core ending was really sad, I couldn't resist and I had to cry.
Holy shit, I was going to say this! :(
Metal Gear Solid 3. The Boss. Felt really hard to pull the trigger, even though it's just a game... So much more powerful than the confusion of MGS2 and MGS4 Although this scene in MGS4 was good. Starting off all energetic like MGS1, and fading away until it's just two old men fighting.
First game ever to have caused me such an impact... If I had the money, id buy a ps3 just for MGS4. Old Snake theme is just... Amazing.
Fallout 3 [sp] Death of dad + ending music and scene with that photo[/sp] Mass Effect 2 [sp] action packed fucking movie, from entering Omega relay to end, holy shit [/sp] Half Life 2 [sp] why grigory, why not alyx [/sp]
Bioshock 2 good ending [sp]wasn't really sad, a bit depressing but it seemed hopeful[/sp] Bioshock 2's semi good ending [sp]was really sad to me, made me nearly tear up[/sp]
I thought seeing the dude from the Uncharted games all beat up and climbing up a train was pretty sad Dude is so Badass [editline]09:06AM[/editline] When the chopper pilot dies in bad company 2
The Activision-Blizzard merge.
The death of Liberty Prime Made me cry
I actually laughed because he was so badass.
