i don't think he will be, looking at the numbers most top lane heroes aren't that bad to go against, and his shuriken has pretty bad base damage without a shadow, and shadows aren't spammable
He can use his E to harass via his shadow as well. He can harass with 2 moves before they all go on cool down. His E does a shitload of damage too.
It's still stupid that someone with ~6000 games (assuming a 50% w/l) gets matched with someone who has ~300.
Why? it's not impossible for someone to spam games and never get any better and someone else to just naturally be much better at the game
EU server playing games, told me game didn't exist when we left selection window. Now I cant log back in.
http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?p=31152189
Hey guys, I’m Xypherous, a Technical Designer here at Riot Games. I’ve been working a bit on the goals for itemization changes as we head into the preseason, focusing mostly on specialization, player self-expression, and adding new gameplay patterns in the game. We wanted to fix a lot of the existing problems that players have with items and try to add more depth in terms of itemization. Let me go over the major goals we have for the preseason item changes: Clean up / Reworks We have some items that need a lot of love and some items that simply don’t have a place in the current framework in the game. We either made these items relevant for a specific purpose or removed them if they were too problematic to balance. Some super-niche or narrow-scope items have been remade to work on a greater variety of champions. Specialization There aren’t enough items to allow each champion to really feel like they have their own unique build. We also want to add more items that allow you to specialize for the particular game that you’re in. We’re adding items to give players in each role alternate primary builds that fill out their teams better. If your carry needs to do more AoE damage, he has an option for that. If your primary AP caster needs additional CC capabilities, there’s an option for that, too. We want players to have a degree of specialization in terms of playstyle, and to buy items that complement that playstyle rather than simply giving them the highest raw stats. Gold and Statistics Pass We’ve done a complete gold and statistics pass on the entire item shop. Many statistics have been reevaluated to better reflect how much gold they are worth at a particular stage of the game. Premiums have been adjusted across many items to reflect how difficult they are to build or how niche they are, rather than their raw statistical strength. Items that grant early Resistances / Attack Damage / Attack Speed have all been reevaluated in terms of strength. Breadth and Depth One of the most important things we tried to accomplish during the preseason was to ensure that your mid game items didn’t pigeonhole you into certain choices later in the game. We’ve also endeavored to give mid-tier items more late game options so that you don’t run into dead-ends as the game progresses. If you build Warden’s Mail in the mid game, you shouldn’t feel compelled to buy Randuin’s Omen every game. We wanted to make sure that at each stage of item progression gave you upgrade choices later on. We know that some of your favorite items might be affected by the coming update. I’ll be discussing many specific examples in depth leading up to the patch. If you’d like more information on a specific change, reply to the thread and I’ll answer your question if I can.

Why? it's not impossible for someone to spam games and never get any better and someone else to just naturally be much better at the game
I have a friend who has 900+ wins and can't last hit properly. I honestly think he bought the account or somebody gave it to him because he's not really that good for 900+ wins. I only have like 305 wins.
It's still stupid that someone with ~6000 games (assuming a 50% w/l) gets matched with someone who has ~300.
Elo is a good system, it's used with chess for a reason.
idk why you sound surprised ashxu is thinking that way, I barely visit the thread and even I've had the pleasure of him instantly jumping to the conclusion that I must be lying because I was matched with/was playing at the same standard as people who had a few thousand wins. that and the numerous posts from him complaining about people not as skilled as him and queue dodging when he gets matched with people with not great histories/low amounts of wins. he's clearly too good for them.
i know i know but its so tiring to hear the same damn thing from him every 2-3 pages cool
Is there any point in playing/learning a jungler below level 30(specifically, amumu)? People don't tend to help the jungler at this level and it's impossible to keep up without your team leashing for you.

Trust me learning jungle is worth it I barely knew how to do it when I had 500 wins and I'm still pretty bad at it on 1000 wins. Being stressed when you're forced to go jungle hurts, but you should try to learn it as early as possible.

Early on it's kind of just a free for all in every sense.
chess is a 1v1 game, LoL is a 5-man team game
they altered the formula so its made for 5v5 you can't win every game of chess, same thing with league
wukong is going to be fotm after black cleaver gets this remake
that fiora was fed as fuck. my team was a piece of shit except akali. I fucking built 470 armor with thornmail and refused to give a fuck. 1v1'd a fed fiora late game
chess is a 1v1 game, LoL is a 5-man team game
And it's still the best rating system League can use. Is it good in the short term? Not at all, there's still this luck factor that players complain about. However, after, let's say, 300 ranked games, the elo system is pretty much stable. If after 300 games someone is still in the bronze bracket, then he's simply not that good.
chess is a 1v1 game, LoL is a 5-man team game
It still works very well for League, as much of a team game it is, if you're a good player then you can carry your games until you get to the point where the enemies are just as good as you Unfortunately there are a lot of people who suck at the game but don't even realise it, so they blame it on the elo system for their shitty teammates when really they're just making no difference in games (commonly you see these people saying "Win lane lose game" etc and blaming the loss on everyone but themselves, there are actually very few games that are 100% uncarryable)
