i hate how my elo on normal and ranked is so different
on normal games like everyone has a skin, and is 1400 or higher ranked
on ranked i'm at 1000 elo; everytime i get to 1300 i get on the wrong end of the stick 10 times in a row and get thrown back where i start

Yeah, I agree. Normal is tolerable. Some idiots sure but most of the people are neutral or nice.
When I play ranked, everyone is just retarded. In my first season 2 ranked game, no one knew what a jungle leash was and mid had like 100 cs by 20-30 minutes.

last game i was alistar supporting an ez. he was so afraid of their ashe/leona combo when they weren't doing anything, so they were like 20cs above him before they went in and killed us. we go back bot and they get ez out in the open because he decides to flash AFTER they do damage to him, so i sacrifice myself by headbutting + pulverizing so he could get away. he dies 2 seconds later and i ask "why did you die" and his reasoning was he was trying to save me. he then called me a bad support because i was dying constantly, but really i was saving his ass and he just happened to die shortly after anyway.
last night i was playing shyvana jungle ranked literally the only person who wasn't new to the game was me and malz; our garen it was his first time playing ranked as he just got to level 30, the enemy top(darius) was at least 3 levels above him always, i couldn't even gank when he was around because then darius would just ult him and then kill me, so i had to wait until garen died or recalled before i ganked. out bot lane was a bit worse; they were dying constantly and were obviously new to ranked as well.
glad i dont care for the janna skin/gold banner rewards(i'm at silver), else i would be flipping shit.

We were ripping shit up bot, but Rammus just fed Shyv all game, she was killing our 3rd tower on top at 15 minutes or so, and we just kept getting ganked
Still, somehow managed not to die, and was enough of a fire magnet and help that we managed to keep together for as long as we did

mana manipulator is total shit and so is soulshroud, it provides so little team utility its not even worth considering, and if you need chalice to keep up your mana pool then youre doing something wrong, besides if you built a shurelya's it would be approx the same regen rate
and yeah, another thing, no shurelya's or aegis
if you feel like doing better than the other team and you just have to chase them, rush shurelya's
if you're having a rough time buy aegis asap to help your team survive
just forget soulshroud and mana manipulator exist, theyre really bad

In ranked all you get is people who think they know [B]EVERYTHING[/B].
The point of ranked is, in my opinion, for games that are more serious than others, and also a way to measure your skill level. As far as I've heard, high elo games are actually quite fun since because there are fewer players and the player pool is much better, you can enjoy games more, as it is very rare that there will be some raging asshole.
At least as far as I know.

Where you can find people of all sorts, but mostly 0/10/1 jungle alistars on your team and 35/1/10 Yi's on the other team.

I've gotten really good results with them before, since my whole early game is basically revolving around poking shit so I need the mana, plus far, far too often I get idiot carries who waste all their mana on minion killing so they're always like 'can't engage oom' and I end up going after people with our jungler alone
Granted, if we're doing well I tend to avoid it, but when I end up with some derp who doesn't realize that they don't need to use freezyshot on the minions, it means that at least if they're spamming they aren't going to be totally dry when it actually matters
I grant that Shurelyias is good, but again, we lost the game well before halftime even though we kept winning teamfights because all our top towers were gone
1. Rengar Mid: NO. If you want to go ad-bruiser mid, pick someone with a more reliable gap closer. Mid lane is the worst place to fight as rengar. Eat someone with Irelia, Wu, Renek... Ap mids are squishy and easy to destroy with those guys. But with rengar you wont get near them if they have half a brain.
2. Elise: Rylai, Sorc shoes, abyssal, rabaddon, ga, zhonya. Eat people. Mix in a couple of dorans in there, and some gp5 if you are jungling.
