Zed, Elise, Kha'Zix, Rengar, and Diana were all designed as junglers and none of them are that good at it.

Zyra is more of a support than an AP mid.

His early damage is actually quite high, get 2 levels of fling early and don't get W till 8 or so. I find he's amazing not because of his damage necessarily (I agree that he isn't a big damage dealer late) but his peel potential is amazing and he has a really good engage with fling. I just find that people underestimate him a lot, but I see him being played more and more now so I'm not sure anymore. I never lose lane unless it's against a jayce or teemo really, pretty much anything else isn't bad at all.

top was really really old and only had 4-5 champions you would ever see there prior to these being released

dealing with singed is pretty easy, you just have to camp him/ shut him down early enough so he cant freefarm later on

Then if we remove the ones that can (realistically) go in other roles, we get:

Zed's ganks are eh, Kha'Zix and Rengar are [I]good[/I] but better top and Diana can't gank pre-6 which makes her about as useful as Warwick without the infinite sustain.

I have a feeling Rengar's great sustain and good clear time will put him at Udyr levels of useful once the jungle is reworked again. I think I remember reading that it was going to encourage more sustain-y junglers again?

They've been managing to do both fairly well, adding new champions while basically adding a visual rework along with that champion. Elise's time of adding was TF's remake, etc. We've gotten a lot of remakes in a small timespan, dude.

Yeah, but the higher elo you get, the more important it is that a jungler have an insane clear time for invasion or disruption purposes or strong ganks. Again, I was just filing them as their best role, not their only one.

There's a different team of people working on visual/champion reworks to the ones working on new champs/skins
They aren't going to stop doing the thing that makes them the most money, that would be pretty stupid of them
