well the catch is that he only has one damaging spell to rely on when going ap and the slightest cc will have him kissing his massive mr and armor goodbye. it sounds pretty balanced to me.
As somebody who plays support a lot, I would never say that. I even rage a little whenever my ADC buys a Dorans first and then complains when she gets dived from having no sustain the 2nd minute in the game.

I think it's just me but whenever it's like Nunu ulting or even Yi Meditating, my CC is never up or when I play Nunu my ult is canceled immediately but whenever I play against a Nunu they always get the full effect.
Bit the bullet.

but it deos give amazing sustain with the 5 hp/hit and i repeat BOOTS OF SPEED HAVE BEEN NERFED
i guess you could start longsword + 2 pots if you reaaaaaaally want those potions

The whole point of the Dorans/Boots rework was to make people buy Dorans at the beginning of the game again instead of boots3pot and stack Dorans
