It should get you on your way and then some. But can keep in mind that your team comp plays a factor into it as well. If the enemy team has heavy all in initiation Janna would be a great pick even if it might not have great synergy with your AD carry. If you lack AoE hard CC Sona's ult can be of great help, Leona as well.
Yeah i've been keeping that in mind with Taric if we've not got anyone particuarlly tanky. i've got enough for two full RP champs, so im thinking i might pick up Lulu and Vayne.

Which ad carry works best with Nami? My friend wants to get good at Nami support so I'm pretty much playing bot lane with her every game, so far Varus has worked amazingly well and Vayne has went pretty bad
Varus seems to just synergise with all of her abilities, the speed boost + attack slow lets him catch people and lets her bubble them, then they both ult and the enemy is 100% going to be dead and varus' ult will latch on to whoever is near by because they get knocked up by the nami ult, I don't feel like there would be anyone better than varus to synergise with her but just another good ad carry would be cool so I don't end up playing varus every game :<
