Placement elo is mainly luck. If you're not shithouse you can probably get to 1300-1400 elo even if you're really not that good.

Not really, people ban the annoying champions rather than banning against people on the enemy team and if you only play 1 champion and know how to go in multiple lanes with them then you can pretty much guarantee to play them every game
TiensiNoAkuma can only play Katarina and he's at like 2600, he also sometimes plays xin but it's nowhere near as much as Kat

Tl;Dr: Run straight up Mid and wreck the Nexus with 2 minutes left. Best ranked game ever.

Sunfire Cape on Singed, yay or nay?
I've been debating this with my friends. My opinion on it is that there's much better items to get as you aren't really a tank who stands in one place and auto attacks. You are running around and having the enemy team chase you and such. A tank like Amumu or Volibear would much better use a Sunfire Cape I think.
i would argue that while you're right about some parts of that (if you're being chased you shouldn't be close enough for sunfire to be giving damage), but singed gets into the heat of things quite a bit, so a sunfire might be useful.

Depends on what you want to do.
If you have say, teleport/flash and want to apply pressure to lanes you wont find much use for sunfire cape as most of the time you'll be running away from, rather than into things.
If you're playing with teamfights in mind, you're going to be in the middle of the enemy team and flinging the carries meaning it will be good as it's just extra damage and tankyness.
You can't say "yay or nay" or that an item is bad, it's situational more than anything. Build items as you need them.

The sunfire can be pretty useful for split pushing since it's a fair bit of added damage to the minion wave, massively speeds up clearing.
Fair point actually, dunno how but it slipped my mind that Singed has his poison trail, suppose this is what happens when you're late for work v:v:v
