I wonder about that mastery too, the one where you melee/hit a champion and get gold for it, get rewarded for poking your enemy as gp.
I also wonder, because gp classes as a melee champ, he gets the 5 gold, but since his Q applies on hit effects, does it count as 5g? or does it even proc it at all

it's 5g
but you could use your bullets to last hit creeps and get the bonus gold from that
plus it's deep in utility tree

Bruisers wihtout magic resist without tenacity with only 120 Armor at 6 item builds is certainly a good idea.
Alternativly you could say you are an AD carry who fires once every 4.5 seconds without an escape spell but din't get boots so every bruiser is faster then you and kills you instandly.

GP's passive does wonders for that. Triforce and Phantom dancer help as well.

Who do you think would be better for both poke, general team comp, and for helping the ADC? Lulu or Zyra?
I'd say Zyra is better for poke and fits well when there's any other AoE, though she doesn't have too much to help the ADC other than zoning and setting things up.
Lulu makes for a better defensive choice that ramps up into a poking jerk. She tends to fit with almost any team comp I would imagine because she's loaded with utility. She's great for keeping the ADC alive, very hard to burst someone with her around.
