Zed has pretty much the highest burst in the game iirc.

hes like an inferior talon
literally NO teamfight potential, he cant even make it up with splitpushing because of his shitty escape
his burst takes almost 100% of his energy which renders him totally useless after that
he NEEDS a hyper-offensive build to do lots of damage which means hes squishy as fuck
hes just soooo useless after the lane phase, ive seen ONE game where a zed carried the game, hes just as useless to the team with 15 kills and 200 farm as with 3 kills and 100 farm
Zed is like every other assassin, you usually get murdered, but you 100-0 the enemy carry in the process.
It's just that a vast majority of people have no idea how to play him

a good assassin should either have a good escape (lee, akali) or be durable enough to go in and out (irelia, pantheon)

His escape is awesome though. Especially for juking enemies.

Zed's W is a good escape. It isn't even needed for his full burst since only 2 clones can damage a target at once so you can just use the ult one.

only 1 e deals damage, 2 e's also slow down the enemy by up to 60% and 3 e's slow down the enemy by up to 80%

His Q is still the majority of his damage and the mark's extra 50% damage at level 3 is nothing to scoff at
im not saying isnt dealing a lot of damage, but besides that he is useless
I really like Vi's Neon Strike skin, I think riot did a great job on it and it's animations.
