A better way to have worded it - Twitch has to put himself in more risks than the average AD carry has to. Other AD carries can safely keep their distance and poke, get farm, and then go in for the definite kill. Twitch would regularly ambush them from behind, either close to them are far behind the enemy lines. Either way he's taking a pretty big risk because if things don't go his way, he's done for.
Of course a good Twitch wouldn't really put himself in such a position without knowing whether he'd get a definite kill or not, just like an good AD carry.

according to you, if twitch needs to place himself at much greater risk in order to do similar damage, he automatically becomes worse
using the hypothetical "amazing player" argument doesn't really hold up in the end, since you can basically argue that any champion is 100% viable in the hands of a player with amazing mechanics and positioning and all that jazz.

you can never assume that the person playing a hero will "position properly" and you can't say that a champion being consistently bad is simply the result of "people not playing him correctly" etc.

I think the only reason people don't play him is because they think he's like old twitch who sort of sucked as an ad carry, people will gladly play ap rengar so it has nothing to do with how good he is right now

rylais bad, RWQE, revolver if you have ad top
although I don't build revolver on kat anymore, i go straight for the current flavoursome build - sorc boots rush -> haunting guise -> abyssal > GA
Some people prefer to build revolver on Kat, some do not. However, gunblade isn't very good on her anymore, and thus it has become more common that people don't build revolver on her.
If you guys aren't watching the TSM invitational you missed out on something awesome, nientosh runs GP mid and bops dignitas with him with many a tiamat proc from parrley I'll try to get the vod when it's uploaded.
It seems a little silly not to build Spellvamp on Katarina since she can simply spam her skills without worry, gaining health. That's just me, though.

For me it's very situational. If it looks like the laning phase will be on for quite a long time and I need sustain I get the revolver, otherwise I get a needlessly large rod and roam after I got the middle tower down.
So we got into a game and as soon as we started out viktor went afk, So we all went to lane and we were losing, Then as vayne i got a quad, Carried the team and we won 4v5

Yeah, that 100hp per minion wave was really keeping me in lane and making sure I really spent that 1200 gold well
The only ability that gets you an ok amount of hp is w and that's if you're in the middle of the wave which if you're worried about being harassed isn't really going to work
Old kat could throw a ranged dagger that did 100% damage every bounce and got you an ok amount of hp, the real reason you were buying it was to build into gunblade which at the time was more damage than deathcap and allowed you to slow the enemy and get a full ult on them 1v1 which was a big deal at the time (it isn't anymore her base damage is terrible now)
It's like buying manamune on ezreal, that's what revolver is to kat.

Why get guardian angel on kat when you can get zhonya's for armor ?
Why level W over Q? Q is great for harassing, although I'm thinking of getting 3 points in W for the speed bonus then going 5 points in to Q
Should I get abyssal first, or deathcap first? Considering I already have sorc boots and haunting guise for spell pen
Playing 3s as olaf probably some of the most fun I've had in League. Going back to some 5s now though. I like 3s cause it's alot harder for people to escape from me. :D

I would like to learn how to jungle. I currently don't know how, and that is upsetting.
When I try to learn, I just do badly at it and irritate my team, so that's a bit disheartening, too!
