You can jungle without runes and masteries with warwick, yes, but it wont be as good with them obviously.
But really, at level 8 you shouldn't worry too much about roles, just familiarize yourself with the game and the mechanics first.

You must be doing it wrong, I find that I can easily out farm one of the lanes, after clearing the three camps you have a lot of leg room so ganking and keeping control on your altar is what you will be doing the majority of the time.
The camps generally give you enough gold to make all that time where you aren't farming not matter, I hear they are going to make the TT jungle harder though which will really hurt the jungle. Won't be viable to jungle if they make it much harder.
also jungling pre-30 = death sentence for your top laner and since u dont have proper runes you'll get outleveld too

I don't think any other item gives spellvamp with AD/APen. The added CDR and health is nice too.

Well if you're playing Nidalee then you should be camping bushes and spamming auto attacks. Try to keep your range and I think you'll do fine. At level 6 if she's low enough you can just jump her and kill her.
That's what I was trying to do, which is why I went AD nidalee. I did let the lane spiral out of control, but I suppose their Amumu ganking me twice and our Warwick never ganking played a part.

irelia = free win imo
I think going ap nidalee and having chalice of harmony will help you a lot with winning your lane, although the jungler must be quite active too.
did a game with my buddies. i played jayce, with sion and a olaf. we went against shyvana, akali, and amumu. we won like 24 to 9, at 25 minutes.
