I've only seen kha'zix vs rengar happen once me, blitzcrank and draven proceeded to spend the rest of match making sure rengar never got to kill kha'zix hue hue hue hard for rengar when I'd skarner ult him, flash away from rengar so blitz can pull him and let draven pick up the kill.

Its doesn't scale and does "over time" damage so it wont stack if you apply it more often then 3 seconds.
Pretty sure its supposed to be offensive support item.

Nice going on your score. Anywho...
I like to start Katarina with boots and 3 potions, just because being able to run around is very important to her. If you're particularly ballsy or feeling confident, you could always go with an amplifying tome and one option.
I rush Hextech Revolver for the sustain (Haunting Guise is also a very strong early item on Katarina), followed by a Negatron cloak which will later be built into an Abyssal Scepter. Having the Magic Resist early is great considering you have to get up in people's face to do damage.
After that you have a few options: Hextech Gunblade (which I believe is not [I]as[/I] effective as earlier), Abyssal Scepter first if your AP enemy is scurry, Will of The Ancients. After that I go for raw power in terms of Zhonya & Deathcap. Finish with Void Staff if they're stacking MR, or get a Guardian Angel, or just more damage because fuck everyone.

Boots > Hextech Revolver > Sorcerer's Shoes > Negatron Cloak > Gunblade/Will of The Ancients/Abyssal > Zhonya > Deathcap > Shiggy Wiggy.
Personally, I don't bother much with Rylai's Crystal Scepter since Katarina's job is really to burst people down, get that first kill/assist, and just clean house. The health and utility is nice, but not so much necessary; you slow them down during your ultimate, sure, or you could just hit them far harder during it.

Does spellvamp stack as long as they're not the same item/an item that builds into another? Can you have both a Gunblade and WoTA and get full spellvamp?
