I just can't understand people, why they don't allow nudity in videogames, but they do allow violence, where people blow up in pieces, blood is everywhere and flesh and bones can be seen. But if nudity is shown in videogames, everyone start arguing, why did they implement nudity in a videogame for children. This happened to Heavy Rain, a PS3 exclusive, where they announced nudity in it, but Sony said, that they must delete all sexual content in-game. I really think nudity should be allowed and too much violence and gore shouldn't be allowed. (It's fun though)
Look at the German versions of violent games. 'nuff said.
What the hell happend to the good ol' Parental settings? Like in Max Payne, where you could turn off the blood and all the nudity scenes. If that thing where put in games, then the only thing needed is parents knowing that this feature is there! I think too that people should stop hating on the develepors, and start to look on the parents!
I want porn games :q:
That's why

Not so bad, I guess. Like if there was a chick taking a shower and we totally got to see all of it.
um Age of Conan, GTA, God of War, Prince of Persia Sand of Times ( I think ) these games all have nudity
They don't allow nudity because a primary percent of people are either politically correct, and believe that just seeing the image of a penis or tit will warp the mind of the fragile little child. That, or they are Christians and believe that just the image of a penis, tit, or vag is going to send their child on a downwards spiral for perusing sins of the flesh, and he will burn in hell for all eternity. And the American FCC is a steaming pile of bullshit. Seriously. One thing I don't understand is that sometimes nudity fits. It adds more to the realism. Most people my age when we watched "Schindler's list" when Amons wife was naked on the bed they were all like "OMG BOOBIES!" I was sitting there thinking "Yeah yeah, no big fucking deal move it along."
Nudity is allowed in games, but companies want to get as low of a rating as possible. Any nudity has you pegged for at least an M, if not an AO. A lower rating means that more people have an oppurtunity to buy it.
I'm all for nudity that advances the story, but if it's just for the sake of it (though I'd possibly let it slide in a B-movie style game), then why bother?
Because American censors are prude people. Fahrenheit had nudity and sex over here (Ireland) and was 15s. America got a censored version, Indigo Prophecy, and that was M17 The uncut was AO LOL at America
There was still sex, just no boobies.
They should but they don't
American parents, 'nuff said.
Move to Denmark, we have real freedom of speech, you know. ... Also full-frontal nudity in commercials on national television, and on posters at bus-stops. :denmark: [editline]02:16PM[/editline]
Awwww yeah
- also made in Denmark...
In America its due to the existence of the Adults Only rating. In the UK (and I think the rest of Europe) instead of Mature and Adults Only, we just have an 18 and over rating. You could likely get away with nudity in an 18 rated game, but because the game also needs an M rating in the states, developers don't bother.
Why... Garry's Mod has nudity.
The real question is, who wants to see naked pixels? I know the point of this thread is because you dislike censorship, but I really don't care if naked people are in games or not.
It's not that we like to look at it, it's that we are tired of people freaking out over it.
Why... Garry's Mod has nudity.
Well. Not originally.
too much violence and gore shouldn't be allowed. (It's fun though)
I just noticed the OP's avatar.
I really think nudity should be allowed and too much violence and gore shouldn't be allowed. (It's fun though)
Don't want to sound like a smart ass or anything but... just wait untill you meet a girl, which meets your type and you'll get more than just nudity. P.S. I really love gore and violence. How can you make a good horror game like F.E.A.R. or Dead Space without those two things?
Because they don't need them to make a great game?
Yes there are, but nudity is a bigger crime in videogame world than violence.
Because lots of games revolve around violence, and not nudity. Or at least need an amount of violence for the game to make any sense or be any good
Because lots of games revolve around violence, and not nudity.
Then if devs add some nudity, why does everyone baaw like mad, but when it's tons of violence, it's all fine and dandy?
Because it's business, and business, as we all know, is money. Big money!
I dont think it makes much of a difference to any game. If the story line isn't immersive the game is crap, even if it has got the best graphics ever. So clearly the reason is, the game developers have no social life so have never been laid. So they have no idea what anything looks like. Therefore it cant be included in games x]

And secondly, if you don't know how the "process" is being done, then there is plenty of "material" both in the internet and the video/newspaper shop.
If people want adult games, they can always go wander in the adult section of newgrounds. :| Though I don't get it either why we allow violence and not nudity. Because to a lot of people the exposure of the human body is "nasty and disgusting"? :| "A lot of people" meaning, a lot of moms. edit: But why do you want nudity in games anyways? I can't see any other reason that it would be necessary other than for fap-material. And you have the internet for that.

Television and movies are the same way. American parents seem to think that titties are a graver threat to their way of life than missile launchers. There is no particular emphasis on video games other than "Kids play them, and parents don't! Restrict the boobage levels! Violence levels is secondary."
