Ouch, sticking your cock in searing hot tar doesn't sound nice.
But sticking it in a tark does.
Source is my mind. Unless you mean the picture I traced from.
Yes.
Get back in chat you maggots, it's gone quiet.
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. threads: Where everyone who's :smug:, goes :q: after reading one post by Crisis.
Happy year of the blowout, fellow stalkers.
5 hours to go here. [editline]07:16PM[/editline]
Will 2010 hold anything good for us stalkers? [editline]12:13AM[/editline] I doubt it.
CoP
Hooray, another lonely new year where I feel even worse about myself than I normally do :frown:
I wasn't thinking that, because I already have it, but maybe LURK 1.1 this year.
and maybe another mod from the LURK team for CoP.
I've been playing Clear Sky for a few hours and it's pretty fun so far.
I wasn't thinking that, because I already have it, but maybe LURK 1.1 this year.
it's kinda depressing how everyone here seems to.. uh.. "acquire" CoP. am I the only one here who is actually going to wait for the us release?
Yes.
it's kinda depressing how everyone here seems to.. uh.. "acquire" CoP. am I the only one here who is actually going to wait for the us release?
You're not on your own. I mean yeah I got the installer, but it was broken :v:
I have patience, so I'm waiting for it, along with LURK 1.1. I believe Patience is always key.
Patience is always necessary in STALKER, otherwise you'll get your head shot instantly.
Yes.
well I don't see why. I'm not against piracy, but pirating games is slowly killing the pc gaming industry, and there's absolutely no reason why you need to have it earlier. I mean, I very much want to play CoP, and although this may be putting too much meaning into something, I think there is something about a release date, the collective experience, that is more valuable than playing it sooner. besides, it's a bit disrespectful to the developers. just my opinion.
Piracy is the cancer killing PC gaming, making all of the developers make 360 games instead.... Lame. [editline]04:46PM[/editline] Also LURK 1.1 will never come out.
QUICK Someone ask the wish granter for 1.1!!
Dude, we don't want LURK to have WoW menu music! That's what the next release of OL is for!
Holden reminds me of a less dickish version of Kanyhalos. Wait, disregard that. Holden actually makes original content.
Yep, OL 3.0 is going to be so great. WoW menu music along with WoW music when you're walking through the zone. And having the Freedom leader as some furry druid character. Yep, Kanyhalos is totally cool for this and is not gay.
Probably should have posted this a few days ago, but was too lazy. Anyway, the short version of what I want to say is that the Tark isn't a real GSC mutant. The long version is a bit more interesting. Those of you who have been following S.T.A.L.K.E.R. since ~2003 may remember this. The rest probably don't have a clue. Around late 2003/early 2004 (I forget exactly when, it's been a while) GSC decided to host a contest for new mutant ideas. The winner would have a version of their mutant added into the final game. The thing is that this contest was Russian language only, so us non-Russian speaking stalkers were pretty much left out. Even so every now and then bits of info and interesting user made concept art would end up on the English section of the GSC forums. The Tark was one of those concepts. What made this particular mutant different was that the author also photoshopped his concept art into a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. screenshot, to make it seem more legitimate and give it a better chance of winning the contest. The problem here is that some game sites that weren't aware the contest was going on picked up his photoshopped picture and thought it was a real screenshot from S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Needless to say this has caused a lot of confusion down to line for new comers to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. And for those wondering, the guy who thought up what we now know as the Snork won the contest, although his original concept had it able to use weapons in a limited capacity (kinda like retail zombies). PS. Happy New Year S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s. Have a good 2010! EDIT The original image. The Photoshopped image. See the similarities?
Tarkfucked.
Bloodfuckers was better.
The problem was there were 4 winners. 1st place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, and Grand-Prix. 1st place was the snork. The original description: [release]Speaking of its anatomy, the creature's resemblance to a human being makes up 90-95%. Exposure to radiation killed all of its hair. As a result of hyper metabolism Snork has no subcutaneous fat, cells of epidermis became tarnished and gray. The body is covered with bruises and wounds. Permanent moisture dissolved finger-nails making them look like black ulcer. Creature's face heavily resembles the gas-mask PDA-3PM of grey or black color. Lower part of the mask is torn off unveiling brown lips and gums, or their complete lack to be more exact. The monster wears a military uniform. Equipment and outfit integrity may significantly vary from torn shreds to quite recognizable uniform with chevrons intact. Some individuals wear badges around their necks. The outfit may consist of "Taiga -2r" backpack, vest "Alfa" or "Buran" sometimes containing some ammunition (absolutely unfit at times) and documents. The monster is armed with old, worn-out by time and moisture, non-repairable military AK-74, AKS-74, Izh-91… Snork movements are pretty much similar to those of the human, though rather jerky and gawky. When moving it often bends down or crouches to stare at the ground. Because of the cartilaginous material disintegration, the creature is always hunched as the spine can not handle permanent pressure and load. As a result of living outdoors Snork developed ability to clamber (up the trees, for instance) and travel both on two and four limbs. When in sitting position, the monster sways back and forth - as a result of the irradiation exposure his increased internal organs including lungs prevent it from breathing properly - in this way the creature expands its thorax to breathe in. Snork interaction with other inhabitants of the zone is based on the law-of-the-jungle principle. The strongest survives. Snorks may attack anyone except Controllers as they are afraid of them. Careless stalker may also fall a prey to Snorks. When in the open, Snork either tries to escape from the line of fire or jump up close to the enemy. Indoor fights become difficult manyfold. The monster uses anything that comes in handy, i.e. barrels, sticks, clubs, etc. Taking advantage of the walls it may bounce off them quickly jumping from side to side, delivering blows and trying to knock you down. Sharp stroke downward is one of the most powerful blows that may seriously damage the enemy.[/release] TL;DR F.E.A.R. 2's Abomination with the ability to shoot guns. The Grand-Prix winner was The Luller [release]This creature can imitate any voice. This allows luring its victims and scaring off pursuers. Coming across a man the monster doesn't necessarily attack, it may simply lure them into a thicket and run away. This creature is a mutated large cat covered with tufted gray fur. Monster's front part of the body is somewhat wider and taller then the opposite. Upper part of its head is also quite feline despite the fact it's being disproportionately large. Difference comes with the jaws. They are extremely powerful and protruding. Resonator bags hang from around the throat. Luller has very good sonic memory and can reproduce anything it heard. A phrase uttered by one man can be easily reproduced with a voice of another. The monster's pretty high intelligence allows it to figure out what sound works best under given circumstances. What's more, Luller can purr on the frequencies inaudible but perceivable (ultra- and infrasound) for a human. This purr slowly lulls to sleep. Example of Luller's action: A stalker hears baby cry and woman coo in the ruins of a house, "Here, baby, here… Calm down, sweetheart". The man is at a loss - a woman and baby in the zone? He could pass by, but the instincts tell him different. Now you tell me who on earth can pass this by? So the man sneaks closer, looks carefully into dark doorway. There is nothing there. He realizes he'd better get the hell out of there and slowly turns around… only to see something shaggy jump into his face with sharp-clawed paws bristled. [/release] Second Place was the Tark, Third Place was the Birthmark. The second and third place winner were going to be included if the developers had enough time to do so.
Lots o' Text and explanation
Wow, this is the first time nearly a year I've seen anyone who even remembers the contest besides me and the mods on the GSC forum. Thanks for correcting me. In all honesty I first heard about the contest when it was nearly through and didn't really pay attention to it at the time. I had honestly forgotten about Luller until you brought it up. It kinda sounds like the Luller became what the Izlom was supposed to be.
I saw a tar once, nasty little creatures.
