Wow, this is the first time nearly a year I've seen anyone who even remembers the contest besides me and the mods on the GSC forum. Thanks for correcting me. In all honesty I first heard about the contest when it was nearly through and didn't really pay attention to it at the time. I had honestly forgotten about Luller until you brought it up. It kinda sounds like the Luller became what the Izlom was supposed to be.
The Izlom is the most useless of all the cut enemies, even more than the supremely annoying Cat.
All of the unique features it was supposed to have, such as stealing shit from your backpack when you're asleep or being able to bribe it with food to calm it down and get stash info was unimplemented. Cutting the sleeping bag was responsible for the latter, and GSC decided to not even start working on the latter, making the final product a ridiculous looking "hurr, melee atåk" monster.
GSC, I am disappoint.
Hey guys i just completed shadow of chernobyl. I loved the ending that i got. The one where [sp]you wish for money[/sp] What should i do now, get oblivion lost?

You should go for the real ending.
Oblivion Lost / SMP if you want lots of new weapons and other features
LURK if you want a grittier, harder, more "realistic" game.
You should go for the real ending.
I dont have any other saved games so should i get the mod and start over?
Fuck that lol the game was hard enough especially at the end running through pripyat and Chernobyl rockets and choppers firing at me

The only hard part is facing bloodsuckers. Get two on you and you'll be dead in less than 10 seconds while spamming medkits.
If you ain't playing on master difficulty you aren't playing it right :colbert:
And regarding your PM, the real ending doesn't involve the wish granter. I'll leave the rest upto you.
And mods don't affect the endings other than possibly giving free roam afterwards

I remember having to go through the Brain Scorcher facing 2 bloodsuckers, a poltergeist, a dwarf and half a dozen rats all at once and I had to dive into a fucking furnace which was in use to escape them all.
Still got it through it though, somehow :psyduck:
The draw distance of the grass sucks ass in the new stalker.

Can someone PLEASE put that quote on the image across the top? This is my new Backround.

I had placed a barrel by a door, because I knew it would show up there, so I threw a grenade at the barrel, PERFECT timing, the bloodsucker walks right into the f1 grenade AND the barrel the second they explode.
and that fucker kept coming like it was nothing.

In-game model.
The scariest thing about the above is that it looks like a pedophilic uncle.

Thank you, Cool Frog. I needed that.
Piracy is the cancer killing PC gaming, making all of the developers make 360 games instead.... Lame.
And then they realize pirating for the 360 is as easy as going to a illegal pirate game store around the corner.
Pirating a game hurts the company as much as not buying the game at all. There's no difference in not buying a game and pirating one, besides the obvious.
The devs acquired a license from Microsoft to make games for the 360. Apparently their next major release will be multiplatform. CoP, being only an expansion, is PC exclusive. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 probably won't be. :eng101:
I can see it now. You're playing as German AA Gun and traversing the desolate landscape of the Zone. You pull out a detector, walk up to the nearest Whirligig anomaly, and carefully take out a Meat Chunk.
Just as you're about to leave, you come under fire and are terribly wounded. In your final moments, a stalker called xXxN00bPWN3R98xXx walks up to you, desecrates your body in a display of his repressed homosexuality and yells "OH YEAH BITCH TAKE THAT I OWNED YOU. YOU SUCK AT THIS GAME IT'S GAY. IN HALO YOU CAN DRIVE TANKS AND USE ENERGY SWORDS. IN THIS ALL YOU DO IS SIT AROUND A FIRE LIKE A FAGGOT"
And then you die. :ussr:
This thread is progressing at too quick of a rate! I can't keep up. :ohdear:
welp. They're expanding I guess. As long as they don't leave the PC completely, I'm okay with it.
but also, Drill Remover, despite that scenario you described being agreeably stupid, multiplayer STALKER, or Co-op rather, would be pretty fucking awesome with friends.
I agree with you there. Nothing like exterminating the mutant scum of the earth with a buddy.
And what I described would probably be more common in a multi-platform MMO.
[sp]Which they're also considering.[/sp]

You tell them to stop considering it. Right now. THEY'RE GOING DOWN THE WRONG ROAD.

yes, but a majority of the people here pirated it just to play it early, and most people pirate games just because they don't want to pay, not because they never would pay. in music, piracy is almost justified, but in gaming, it's killing it because of people who want free things, even if they can pay for it and want it. I suppose it's kindof alright if either
a) you don't have the money right now, but you'll buy it later
or
b) you wont ever buy this game, so you may as well have it.
but that last one ca be dangerous, because then you just say "well I'm not going to pay for anything anyway, I might as well have it, it's only me doing it, it wont hurt anyone"
then your friend says "I'm not going to pay for anything either, it's only me, it wont matter..."
and sooner or later it's not just you, it's alot of people, and the dev's are making alot less money, and switching to a platform they think is more secure.
I'm not against piracy, but theres some cases where I think you really shouldn't.

But why is it more justified in music than in gaming? Most artists actually need the money MORE than big gaming companies, and you're depriving them if that.
Not that I disagree with you, but what I'm trying to say is that it's all a matter of opinion. Not to the law of course, but to peoples own moral compasses.

hardly any of the money you pay goes to the actual artist, alot of it goes to the record companies, many of which actually sell large amounts of music without the rights to do so. they're all hypocrites.

You do know that the amount of albums sold directly correlates with the amount of money received by the artist, correct?
You do know that the amount of albums sold directly correlates with the amount of money received by the artist, correct?
of course it does, but ti's still a small percentage of what you pay.
of course it does, but ti's still a small percentage of what you pay.
Of course. However, the less people who buy albums, the less the artist gets paid in the long run, and the less likely he's going to be to make another album.
Thread derail, although I suppose it's somewhat relevant...kind of.
Oh man this game is awesome. I got this for $2 and I can't stop playing it.
[release]Eurogamer: Is the PC market robust enough for you to be single-platform with Clear Sky?
Oleg Yavorsky: It is if you focus on the heavy PC markets. Russia is 98 percent PC still; Germany has a big piece of the market. There is a lot of piracy, but people are still buying games: with our game, they really were. I've seen people on the internet, and someone is saying, "I've just downloaded S.T.A.L.K.E.R.!" Someone else will say, "Hey, these are local guys - support them and buy it." Then the first person will say, "I just wanted to take a look - I will buy it! I will buy it!"[/release]
GSC obviously needs to release demos of the game so that people won't have to resort to piracy to try the game. A demo for CoP easily could have offset the pirating that many fans of the game have done because of the release date.
or we could all fly to russia and beat the shit out of them to get it
also I just came across the most BADASS Dutyers ever.
The first one goes by the name GRISHKA POLAR EXPLORER. He just happens to be badass enough to carry 2 AK pattern guns. The other, Filya Watcher, carries 3 fucking AK47s covered in attachments. If there was ever a tacticool STALKER, it'd be him.
I found a dutyer with a last name/nickname of "swat officer"
