You're right. Not to make it sound like a cheesy excuse but I think in this case it kind of helps in Gman's case, as he's always supposed to have been offsetting and creepy.

I was wondering if you were planning on making the rebels more unique. As in maybe some new gear or even other coloured clothing, as the rebels are always green or blue, maybe add a white refugee one or something. There are tons of different skins for rebels out there.

Yeah, hopefully we can implement some sort of code into the game so that it will randomly pick a head and outfit skin for the citizens.
That reminds me, and I am so sorry if this has been answered but my brain can't seem to remember it now, but will we get proper skins for the Zombies? Like Zombies wearing the blue "civvies" instead of the refugee shirt, as well as wearing Rebel outfits in which they would potentially have more health? Similar to how the HECU Zombie pulled it off in opposing force.
Also, would you implement a Zombie Civil Protection skin (with extra health) seeing as there is not really a reason they can't get infected, or would this be too far away from the main goal?

I ported all of the characters eye shaders to the new model - didn't change the definition of the actual iris textures, though. Would anybody want to use them? Better than letting them gather dust on my backup drive.

Much, much better! Still kind of freaks me out to see him with skin that realistic looking. Also in my opinion for most of the skins screenshots can never do justice to using them in game.

Probably a bit too much colour and 'shadow' on that skin. To be honest it looks like he's the bruised victim of a bashing... A simple desaturation to the more ghostly whiteish skin tone he's always had would work wonders for it.

The warm lighting appears dimmer than it should be. Maybe his skin is a bit too dark? Something weird's going on around his shirt collar too, compare the shading to his original skin.

Yeah, his neck isn't re-textured yet, that's why it seams weird on the new one.

EDIT: Also, what do you guys think about making the zombies a bit more HL1-ish? The ones in HL1 had this whole mutation story set up for them, in which they'd have different stages of mutation, and they had huge puss boils on their bodies. The hosts' chests became mouths, and open and closed in the animations. Their fingers elongated and were thrust out in front of them, moving back and forth, used to creep me out when I played HL1 the first time. All in all the changes they made to them in HL2 I thought made them less scary, and less cool...

I'm not saying change the zombies completely, I'm saying add some of the cool/scary features from the HL1 zombies to the HL2 zombies.

I think the zombies should be improved but not drastically changed. Also will all of the models be high polycount? The model in Kleiner's lab that's orange with the bubbles definitely needs to be retextured hi res and a higher poly model. I wish I could help but I think that you should keep the mod as more of a high definition modification for Half Life 2. I'd really love to see the HDR and lighting from the episode 2 engine implemented. I just want to play it in all of its beauty but still have it be Half Life 2 :-) also maybe you should look at making it portable to Source 2 when it comes out but that's a dream in and of itself lol. New water shaders too :-D

In a way it's a lot more terrifying, it gives the appearance of being drained.
I always thought that looked a bit silly, to be honest. It doesn't really make sense considering the size of the headcrab.
Also, I suggest you guys add more zombie variants, if you can. I always found it strange that headcrabs specifically targeted asian males with white shirts :v:
It would be cool if you could see zombie rebels of both genders and maybe metrocops too.
