it may be maxed out, but it should run fucktons better on my i7 920 @ 4.2 GHz, and two GTX 275s.
[editline]04:38AM[/editline]
even if i lower the quality it still does not run well
I get high fps easy, maybe you need to quit some processes that are running?
I also have it on steam and a whole hdd dedicated to steam, maybe that helps?
hell I just know I run it better than you, and your computer is better. I think?
I am running it custom with every feature turned to high.
again, "unoptimized". :cawg:
Yea but would you rather go bowling with a fat guy?
EVERY FOUR MINUTES?
or not have to be called every 4 minutes to go bowling?
Wow, you really are gullible. This is why shitty advertising works.
The majority of these cases involve pirated copies, you've been here long enough to know this. :colbert:
you've been here long enough to know that I don't give a fcuk :smugdog:
Ehh.. what the hell. I'll just reinstall it then. Just wanted it fast.. i mean the game is so big, takes long to reinstall. And just to show you guys...

I wouldn't download GTA IV, because it's so damn good! (i own it for Xbox 360 too)
Owned son.
Here you go, I'm not sure which one it was so I uploaded both that looked like they would launch.
http://filesmelt.com/dl/GTAIV.rar
Aww I appreciate It, but I already uninstalled It.
It would have reinstalled by the time you went on arguing with these guys.
Also, you probably could have just repaired it.
You could probably just have reinstalled the patch.. Also shift deleting is stupid.
[editline]08:44AM[/editline]
Runs fine on my computer.
And I only have a duel core.
But the 4gb ram and the nvidia 8800 ultra might help I guess?
You one of those people who think that the 8800 is still the hottest shit out there?
lol.
It's not really the newest card, but it can run most new games at the moment
It would have reinstalled by the time you went on arguing with these guys.

Yeah I tried repairing it too, but i don't know... it didn't work.
Did you reinstall okay?
again, "unoptimized". :cawg:
Unoptimized? I've seen my friend's computer build run it on high everything (Resolution was high too) and he had much less CPU power and GFX power than yours.
Either you've overclocked to a point where it's 'underclocking' or you fucked something up.
EDIT: I notice that if someone buys an expensive rig and something doesn't run well they always blame it on unoptimization for some reason.

Yea, it's always the devs fault.
/sarcasm
:cawg:
UNOPTIMIZED wasn't a good word to choose for you two. You don't get it.
How about this:
It it is terribly optimized for different hardware
or
it is optimized for a certain generation/architecture
and also, it's not just me who has this problem, you just don't search about it because you don't have any problems.
:downs:

This.
Anyone who thinks that SR2 isn't incredibly badly ported needs to play it on a x64 OS.
Who games on x64?
I still use x32 because it functions for my needs.
Who games on x64?

people who have 4GB or more of RAM?
[editline]12:59AM[/editline]
which last time I checked, almost everyone has 4GB or more of RAM
Who games on x64?

I'll copy-paste my post from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. thread:
It's the advantage of a 64 bit operating system/processor.
32 bit can only have 4 gb of memory
2^32 is 4,294,967,296 bytes (4 gb)
where 2^64 is 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 bytes (16,777,216 terabytes)
but there are artificial limitations set in place on the processors, I will just copy and paste an example from wikipedia:
"For example, the AMD64 architecture has a 52-bit limit on physical memory and currently only supports a 48-bit virtual address space. Still, that represents 4 petabytes and 256 terabytes respectively, or 2,000,000 and 100,000 times as much as a typical system."
So yeah, why the fuck wouldn't you choose 64 bit honestly.
Really. Which do you think is better 16.7 MILLION TERABYTES OF MEMORY, or 4 gigabytes.
This.
Anyone who thinks that SR2 isn't incredibly badly ported needs to play it on a x64 OS.
Yeah, fast-forward for the lose.. :( I kind of want to play the game, but I can't when it is in fast forward.
Damn you shift+del!

fps cap!
I am pretty sure you can force a FPS cap on applications.
or just run fraps in the backround.
[editline]10:18PM[/editline]
Damn you shift+del!
Shift+del is the bane of all mass deletion.
What would an FPS cap help at all? Or is the game retarded and decides how fast it should run based on how many FPS you are getting? That is ridiculous.
Who games on x64?

No such thing as x32.
You could probably just have reinstalled the patch.. Also shift deleting is stupid.

The 8800 Ultra is still a very good card for how long it has been on the market.
No such thing as x32.
Yeah, there's technically no such thing as x64 either. The proper terms are x86 and x86-64. x86 refers to the 32-bit architecture that's based on the 80386, and x86-64 refers to that same architecture but with 64-bit extensions (as opposed to a completely new 64-bit architecture like Itanium).
