ty <3 [editline]04:52AM[/editline] Now I see why everyone likes it
What?
was unreal engine 3 not clear enough or something? it's really the next step up from GameByro. I mean, Bethesda's programmers certainly do not always have their heads on straight, but they could handle UE3 quite well. [editline]03:08AM[/editline]
ty <3 [editline]04:52AM[/editline] Now I see why everyone likes it
it wouldn't work at all though Oblivion is very stat based and almost sophisticated in a sense dark messiah is just hit cause damage die, there's not really much sophistication Elder Scrolls are just not the kind of games to have DM's combat
AI which doesn't suck. If I kill a man (even while invisible), the person talking to him should not walk away casually.
Also bandits in caves can be completely oblivious to you killing their buddies until you show your face during the fight. That's a bit poor if you ask me. And some bandits seem to always stand rock still and not sleep or eat or anything. Makes them seem less like real people and more like mindless enemies. Also if you have 80 NPCs they start to get jammed and won't fight if a creature attacks one. I'm probably explaining it wrong but here's a video. I know there are limits to any game engine but it's a shame it doesn't take 100 NPCs to clog up the AI. Also I'd like spells to have faster projectiles. Although that probably won't be an issue, even if it's not in the vanilla game it'll be modded in as it was for Oblivion. I'd like you to not instantly get to full speed when you're running or walking.
Dark Messiah combat system, better textures, new and more varying foes, much more useless shit like yarn etc, random encounters, travellers (I mean there are roads to every city and village but i am the only one using them and besides it would not be so hard to script), larger more varying area i mean we have now mountains forest and cities?, wars (now that would be awesome!), oh and some perk like skills would be awesome, if the first one, if dark messiah combat would not be included then atleast gore and new animations and easy modding ofcourse easy modding.
I want a new engine because the current engine is extremely dated. My suggestions: Co-op quests More violent combat - dismemberments and blood spurts Something similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s ALife system (dynamic AI lifestyles) Perhaps some kind of level streaming, similar to the one seen in Modern Warfare 2, so that we don't have to go through a fucking load screen just to enter a fucking shack. And fix the fucking jump system and animation - it looks and feels ridiculous. Also, the physics in the current engine are appalling.
multiple storylines, I don't wanna save K'vatch I wanna DESTROY it! Hail lord Dagon!
Since there's no thread on this that's still alive, here y'all go. All the Lore weapons/other stuff, new engine, Dark Messiah-ish first person animations, except EVERYTHING is first person, if you have it in first person mode, not starting in prison(or choice not to), not having to be the good guy, and places we've never been to (Skyrim, The Orc Place of Which I forgot, and Black Marsh, along with the chance of being drafted into the Dark Brotherhood if you have the Shadow birthsign and are Argonian).
Alternatively, animations that don't fucking suck. Actually, the gamebyro engine as a whole is pretty shit. A more stable and better looking engine would be nice. They should expand on the radiant AI system, it was great idea but the implementation needed some work.
I want to see the Radiant AI system that Bethesda was talking about for a long time, even if they don't fix it to remove the psychopathic tendencies, I at least want to see it as a hidden feature instead of being removed entirely at the last moment. Oh, and non telepathic guards.

Perhaps some kind of level streaming, similar to the one seen in Modern Warfare 2, so that we don't have to go through a fucking load screen just to enter a fucking shack. Also, the physics in the current engine are appalling, in my opinion. And fix the fucking jump system and animation - it looks and feels ridiculous.
It's not like the loading screens you get are so long that you're tempted to do something while you're waiting. If they were that long and still claimed seamlessness I would complain. But it only takes about 10 seconds at the most.
Depending on mods. New physics engine, more varied characters (both voice and looks), better quality characters, and fix it so that a beggar doesn't swap from the beggar voice straight into the posh version of that voice when you ask them something!
more god damn voice actors... I get so tired of "yes, what do you want" from the same fucking voice
Bring back my fucking spears, crossbows and levitation spells.
No fast travel. I want other means to get around. Like boats.
Gotta be a country that has V in it. So I'll go for that forested one. Or Akavir, Dragon Land, and having four different races, monkey people, snow demons, Tsaesci(snake people), Tiger Dragons of Ka Po Tun. Also country known as "Country Of The Beasts". So not sure if there would include a human race. But obvious. Let's say your again, a jailbird, a human slave of one of the races. As Morrowind, you were on a boat, Oblivion, jail, and next one has to be awakening in a slave ship just to have memories of Morrowind. Or a slave camp. So I guess the next one will have some kind of restless war between beasts.
The closest TES can get to multiplayer is Co-Op
Which is exactly what it needs. I could even go to accept small servers, like maybe 20 people. [editline]02:17PM[/editline]
No fast travel. I want other means to get around. Like boats.
Boats would be AWESOME. I personally hate fast travel, you find so much cool stuff and so many cool places when you're travelling.
No fast travel. I want other means to get around. Like boats.
Or they can make Fast Travel like in Fallout 3 so you have to discover the place before traveling there.
Umm, it's like that in Oblivion.
VATS and dismemberment :P
or they can make fast travel like in fallout 3 so you have to discover the place before traveling there.

umm, it's like that in oblivion.
[editline]02:37pm[/editline] And now that i think about it, no it isn't. You can fast travel to any town right off.
Put some fucking weight on the ragdolls and fix the damn running and jumping animations, instant immersion breaker.
put some fucking weight on the ragdolls and fix the damn running and jumping animations, instant immersion breaker.
THANK YOU. Nail on the head right there.
[editline]02:37pm[/editline] And now that i think about it, no it isn't. You can fast travel to any town right off.
Only the towns, other places you will have to discover first
Only the towns, other places you will have to discover first
I'd prefer the towns to be marked but undiscovered. Perhaps, as soon as you enter the main town cell you discover all the gates.
Dark Messiah combat system, better voice acting, better character models, very easy modding system. [editline]03:01AM[/editline] Also, being able to traverse all the Elder Scrolls countries would be amazing, but I doubt that would happen.
I second that. The combat style in TES IV sucks. The only thing i'd play that game for is the environment. It's beautiful. The combat needs to be reworked. And oh yea, i hope at the end of the game you'd be givven a chance to ride a dragon that's actually MADE by Bethesda, not modders. I hope this game even comes out...Bethesda shouldn't have wasted their time on Fallout 3. Turns out to be a failure.
better animations i mean seriously bethesda, you do everything great apart from goddamn ANIMATIONS fagfgsgsdsfs
Small group multiplayer, for the love of god. New engine entirely, they should've dumped it after Oblivion. Instead they built fallout 3 on it, which only entertained me for a week before I realized that the only difference between Oblivion and F3 was that everything was fucked up and destroyed in F3, zero atmosphere, same shitty voice actors, same shitty animations.
Oh man.... Dark Messiah Combat system, improved AI, no telepathic guards, better animations, more options to do with quests (I'm bored to tears with choosing between doing something for 1 person or another, I want more far reaching consequences that'll have a permenant affect on the gaming world), the skills from Morrowind (long blade etc etc). Also, better animations.
A world the size of Daggerfall's. =O
