Killer 7, I remember reading a 100-page interpretation of all the symbolism throughout the game, and an explanation of that actual story itself, if you just ran through the game without reading all the documents, seeing the clues spread around the levels, especially the school, you missed out on a lot and it just became a generic rail shooter.

This is why I think video games should be used in English. Some games contain a lot of themes, motifs, and symbols that are in 'good' literature.

Indie games need indeed to focus on this.
Since not many games are actually interesting from this point of view.
Braid did so, of course. But there is potential for much more in the indie scene.
