That's fine for me (although I'd be playing at 1920x1080)
On my current computer I never broke 15fps in GTA4 (with everything on medium to low), and that was at 1152x864.
I loved the atmosphere of this game on the Xbox and would love to try it on the computer, but did anyone feel like the re-playability of this game was, lacking? By the third time I got to Rizhskaya (I use the names of cities in the book because I can never remember the names in the game) in the the Xbox I was like, "Alright, fuck this I'm bored already." and haven't touched the game since.
I don't really know or give a damn about this game but I'm gonna try and win it anyway just for shits and giggles.
This game chugs on my 9600GT and is nearly unplayable in the outdoors section on anything higher then the lowest settings.
Other then that I recommend this game to anyone who likes a good single player FPS.
I never finished this when I rented it. Got to part where you have to run through while handcuffed. I couldnt sprint long enough.

Your processor is a little iffy, but I have a similar build and I run it fine. You shouldn't have too much trouble.
EDIT: You might not be able to max a lot of the settings, be warned about that.
Free games are always good. Someone will probably win this overnight.
ON TOPIC: Is the game anything at all like Fallout? I know almost nothing about it, and I'm looking for something to compare it to.

Setting, yes. Gameplay, very different. Metro 2033 is much more linear.
I wonder if this game would run on my laptop. Doubt it but I've always wanted to play it
