I downloaded the rar and then HURR CORRUPTED. FML.
Hmm, I want to download this (If only to create a character that references a game/movie that nobody knows about and proceed to think that I'm clever for doing so), but I have a feeling that most of the FP players are far past the starting areas. And I doubt it would be worth it to try to get into a random group.
Dammit I cant get past the Maniacs Recruiter in the sewer. There's so many enemies in there and every time I try to lure her to me, she backs up in to a group of gangsters after she uses a power which then she comes back with an army. I suck at MMO's, it pisses me off so much when I see another player that is the same level/class and is killing things almost instantly. Whereas it would take me a few seconds to kill even one thing.
You can't pull them all or expect to get away with killing just the main guy. You need to slowly pull the groups one at a time while soloing, or you will die for sure. Also, when people start the game around the same time as you, they can always play with you.
Is it worth trying even if I didn't like City of Heroes/Villains? I really didn't play it very long but my main issue with it was that movement and everything felt incredibly clunky.

Guess I'll find team but I would much rather play solo. Anybody get a glitch where you are trying to colour something like your shoulder pads but when you have it set on both and change colour it ends up only applying to the one or the other? Therefore, you have to individually colour them?
holy shit behemoth's level 11 skill is soooo good. fully charged does around 300-400 damage and it's in a 120 range cone and knocks back 100 feet.

[editline]1st February 2011[/editline] My guy is level 21, how much longer is the damn zone chat going to call me a 'newly created account'?

I don't have enough time for two grind based MMOs :frown:
So, I sent all of you an invite. Now I only need to have four of you online in order to make the group. But we need a cool name, colors and an emblem. Colors could be white and red. Tried to find an emblem resembling the Facepunch logo, but couldn't find one. No idea about name. The Facepunchers? Easy to remember at least. To clarify, I invited you as a friend with my character Tyr Dagson@CruDurCorp. So you have to accept that, then when there are five of us online at once I will tell you to group up. But we still need a name and all that crap before I'll make the group. I don't want to make a group none of you want to join because it has a stupid name.
Somebody invite me to the clan/guild please, Nelth@Nelthur. Picture:
Never mind fixed my problem.
Never mind fixed my problem.
That 'title' bar across the top of each catagory that says 'tights' or whatever is actually a drop down menu, have you tried that?
My guy. http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/8351/gameclient2011020102500.png http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/8625/gameclient2011020102502.png
Mine's simple but I like it. :bandwagon: I was going to write a backstory about how the arm thing gives him his amazing blade skills, but I'm shit at writing :saddowns: any help?

One day he was tasked to test the "Ultra Mega Awesome Glove of Power". Just as he put it on, his co-worker tried out the "MegaBlast" firecracker. Something went wrong. The firecracker blew up the entire building due to a production error. Mr Swaggerpants was the sole survivor. When he woke up, the UMAGoP was fused to his skin. It had also grown larger, covering most of his arm. But it was not until he was eating a steak dinner he realised that the UMAGoP gave him supernatural blade skills. There, now add @CruDurCorp as a friend if you haven't already and wait for more people to go online. Need to get this group up and running. And since no one are suggesting names, here's a few.
That's incredible :golfclap: I'm not on right now but please add krail9@krail9
Thank you. You will of course have to use your hero name, and I am not sure if that is over the character limit. Anyway, added you. I think the game will go down soon for updates, and I'll be gone from my PC in a while. But I have added a lot of people now, so next time I am on, there should be enough people to start the group.
So, can someone tell me about the actual gameplay? Everyone is just showing of their champs. Downloading atm looks rather interesting.
So, can someone tell me about the actual gameplay? Everyone is just showing of their champs. Very similar to typical MMOs with action-bar'd abilities, but the travel powers make pvp pretty interesting. As far as pve goes the usual quests are all there - kill x/loot y, but there is enough locations and enemies to keep it interesting. You also frequently come across super villains who have fun missions. Also, did anyone else notice the Anchorman (the movie) reference in the foxbat mission? :v:
I think I'll try this out.

How does the pvp work? Is there pvp areas? or do we need to go to a arena etc, or just challenge a duel? Different factions?

The PvP I know of is challenging a duel and hero games. There's a few different herp games like cage match (team arena) and this zombie survival type thing.
Now I'm downloading the patch again. It's a bit faster than yesterday, but still slow. Servers are down though so I'll still have to wait.
Sounds awesome, installing now.

To those who are asking. In powerhouse, you can only remove the latest powers to make it very costly for higher lvl players to respecialize themselves. Otherwise you could just keep on switching like no tomorrow. Try changing travel powers when you'r lvl 20, you will suddenly feel bad about it :( [editline]1st February 2011[/editline] Also, PVP is fucking fun. When I get transformed in a zambie with mya rcher, I just come from behind when everyone is busy and fuck up one of the heroes before running away. They keep shouting how scared they are. much fun. :buddy:
