You can play the game as a pre-made character to top level and do all of the games instances, PVP, and quests. You do not get Adventure Packs or customizable power-sets. There are some restrictions but they are FAR lighter than most F2P games.

For some reason screenshots are darker than the actual game is, but here's what I've got so far.

£9/mo, with a [B]huge[/B] saving of £7 for the six month.
I made it to level 37. I'm almost done with the game. Although it's the funnest free MMO experience I've ever had, it was still full of grief, agony, and repetitiveness. Once you get going with the quest line in Vibora Bay, you get almost nothing but sewer and crypt instance quests, and they are brutally long at that.

K, i'm downloading the game as we speak. Any tips? Because this is going to be my very first mmorpg.
Actually look up what crafting field would best fit with your power framework. Don't do what I did. Ordnance with Munitions, shoulda gone with science.

If you go Blade, it would be a very good idea to put points into Scything Blade (I think, the ability bound to 4), as it will be your most useful skill for quite some time, and the one you use most often.
Also, Monster Island Crisis is the FUNNEST quest you will ever play, so long as you have a small crowd to play it with (It's a queue instance).
