It's really up to personal preference. Flight is pretty cool, but it's probably the slowest of all of them. It is really versatile though, you can get pretty much anywhere really easily.
Superspeed is fast and useful in combat if you're melee, but it really sucks having to climb fire escapes when you need to get to a rooftop.
Teleportation is basically flight, but faster, and you can be practically invisible if you phase in and out quickly, but you obviously can't use it to float around while in combat.
Also there is a thing you buy with real money to become huge.

Combat: Teleport
Travel: Superspeed and Jet Boots have the highest top speeds, but Superspeed has no vertical control abilities which often makes it slower compared to other abilities. Jet Boots have similar speed to Superspeed, but unlike Superspeed, you can't charge it up to start at max speed. Instead Jet Boots have to wait about 10 seconds before top speed kicks in, but then it is probably the best "travel" travel power in the game with great speed and maneuverability. Super Jump is a nice compromise with slightly less speed than either but much more vertical control than Superspeed and the ability to charge it up unlike Jet Boots.
Rocket Jump is better if you were to go with a jumping power. Tunneling is probably the worst but the most fun.

It's a group that's super. It's like the equivalent of a WoW guild. Ours is called The Facepunchers.

Damage with utility? Grimoire for sure.
I don't usually pick an archetype without a concept though.

I did Soraka, but there weren't any clothes to match her original design so I think I have to make my own outfit for her. :/

Krail got it. Basically the way I approach character creation in hero MMO's is a bit backwards, like I don't think "Ok I want a DPS character, I'll go fire", so much as "I want a fire-based character, looks like it is a damage tree, guess I am damage". Similarly, while Grimoire fits your (aydin) requirements for a damage/utility class, you might not want to be a mage-esque character.

Go into the swirling gear portal thing, get your powers, then get missions from the blue guy and anyone else in the area. Then use the minimap to find out where to go for each and do them. They basically get you started with the missions and crafting.
