So a few night ago I was in a forest lighting the ground on fire while backpedaling from a group of spiders. I killed them and then rushed back to my house because I was almost dead.

I like to think of it as light snow.
Anyway, I hope notch adds rain and snow weather patterns after multiplayer comes into action, and have a snow pattern very similar to OpenTTD where during the "Months" of the game, it will be:
Amount of snow blocks DOWN from highest point in map (Only generated tiles included)
January: 3 tiles
February: 3 tiles
March: 4 tiles
April: 7 tiles
May: 10 tiles
June: 12 tiles
July: 15 tiles
August: 10 tiles
September: 7 tiles
November: 4 tiles
December: 3 tiles
NOTE: This weather pattern was designed for a "WARM-AVERAGE" climate zone, there may be other climate zones like "COLD-FREEZING", which will cover the entire area in snow blocks pretty much no matter what. Another difference being that in "COLD-FREEZING" climates, you will not find any dirt-snow blocks ABOVE 7 tiles from sea level, they will all be replaced by stone-snow blocks due to natrual erosion. "WARM-HOT" will be no snow at all.
"WARM-AVERAGE" = Most common climate.
"WARM-HOT" = Least common climate, but is always HUGE. No rain. Contains deserts. (Notch can make this up on his own)
"COLD-FREEZING" = 25/100 Chance of happening, and has no rain.

Pretty cool when it works, but you may want to brighten up some bits (Not the grass or trees), and it looks REALLY buggered around 3/4 section, and on non-generated tiles.
