Anyone remember awhile ago when Notch talked about snow? He talked about it piling up and you being able to make stuff with it like snow balls.
I want seasons :saddowns:
Nope
By the way, playing Minecraft in low res on a SDTV with a controller just feels so right. I love it.
Alright, who wanted to join my crew and have a house in my castle I'll build? :v: I'll probably draw out what it will look like.
Solece the gCrafter reporting in :D
I want seasons :saddowns:
I'd rather have weather and seasons, dynamic water, and decorations instead of multiplayer infdev at the moment. He did say something about getting all that stuff out of the way before he works again on multiplayer though.
wait, it's not just blocks anymore? It has more levels in it now? :O
It's part of the flowing, because you have such half blocks it would be possible to make a bath that is filled up to 1.5 blocks.
I wish food was more important. Right now I barely need any of my meat/bread.
Go outside at night! :P
Dynamic water, coming tomorrow! YEAAA
Should I suggest implementing shields to Notch somehow?
Dynamic water, coming tomorrow! YEAAA
r8l8m8 =[ I've been searching for gravel for hours now, there is none T.T or I dunno where to look.
Since it's possible to create ore maps with ores, wouldn't it be possible to make an addon that points towards diamond too?
Should I suggest implementing shields to Notch somehow?
Yeah. Armor and normal health isn't enough, lets add a third layer of defense. [editline]04:39PM[/editline]
r8l8m8 =[ I've been searching for gravel for hours now, there is none T.T or I dunno where to look.
Near water EDIT: Just tried blast mining in Infdev. Very effective if you can find all of the gunpowder for it.
Near water
Like.. Under sand? :X I've looked all across the coast for like, 1 hour each direction.
Like.. Under sand? :X I've looked all across the coast for like, 1 hour each direction.
Nope, just near water. It's in the game code that it's rarer than sand so you may need to go somewhat far away to find it.
it looks like 10ths from my amature(sp?) counting skill.
Give me a Server to play on as I wait for the surprise.
Give me a Server to play on as I wait for the surprise.
Sorry dude, the facepunch server just closed down.
Trying out a "mob spawning" room in an effort to find more gunpowder. I'll tell you guys if it works or not later.
How would I send Notch my idea for shields?
By the way, playing Minecraft in low res on a SDTV with a controller just feels so right. I love it.
Holy shit, I'm going to get my ghetto HTPC back in action. Sounds like fun :D
Building my tower to the top of this formation.
Trying out a "mob spawning" room in an effort to find more gunpowder. I'll tell you guys if it works or not later.
Okay, I may be cheating like a motherfucker, but I'm still seeing cubic fucktons of zombies, skeletons, and creepers outside my walls at night on hardest. This is what I do when I don't have time to reload a save with my shit. Make a small tower well outside your fortress (so there's no light whatsoever at night) and surround it with lots of 2 block tall posts with 2 blocks of space between 'em on a flattened surface. No lights, so make the top of the tower small (3x3's connected by 1s are good.) Then just "connect" the outside of the trap with a 3 high wall back to your base. If you get skeletons, you can just weave between posts while they're shooting to get spent ammo. Zombies...well, you can deal with zombies however. Spiders you'd want to get following you and retreat to your alley while pegging 'em at a distance, or you can dodge behind the posts and slice 'em around the corners if you're not a pansy. Lighting fires behind you in the alley also works. Creepers you don't need a hunting grounds for, you just roam around and bow their shit down from the walls of your fort or any platforms or trees you've got.
Are you using planks and not logs?
:geno: That makes sense..
Works in eighths i think =) (like dwarf fortress :buddy:)
They work in sevens in Dwarf Fortress.
"The water is not like DF. It's a purely local system inspired by the torchlight."
It would be funny if Notch added earthquakes, that would surely piss off a few people :v: Imagine all that hard work digging out that shaft, then suddenly! *RUMBLE* You're caved in and unable to get out due to running out of pickaxes.

I want notch to have my babies because of the dynamic water tomorrow.
