Yeah, this is what I use. I also have an S-Video cable connected to an SDTV as a secondary monitor, and I play Minecraft on that OLD SCHOOL. I just wish Windows 7 would let me have 640x480 resolution on the TV instead of forcing 800x600 minimum; smaller things just look too blurry like that. :frown:

I'm feelin' high...
If you want gravel only for the flint then you really only need to find one block. Just place it and destroy it and then place it again. Continue this process and you'll find flint about a third of the time.

Point is, after 4+ hours of walking I haven't found any yet, not even 1 block.

Doubt it, the shaft i stemmed off was from my base while i build underwater (abusing the water not filling back in. place sand, remove sand, air bubbles!)
So i would have to sacrifice my base. Though currently its not watertight, so if i sleep through the water update, it will flood itself, which will suck because i just mined up the diamonds to get rid of them from my ore map

I can just imagine sitting there for a long time finding interesting ways to create ripples. And then 2 pages filled up with other peoples ways of creating ripples.
You just need to seal it up before you load the game with the update.

Ok, I'm on indev and had the best moment ever.
I had a little hole in the wall that lead to water, but I covered it up with glass so I have a small porthole in this cave. I keep going down, but end up running into a HUGE FREAKING ROOM with loads of mobs. I fall down into it, make some stairs up, and with the mobs in pursuit, I go up the cave system, break my porthole, and all the mobs are now stuck down there.
Infdev works for me.

Would have been cooler if it was lava behind the porthole instead of water. Then you would kill them bitches.

Don't use Golden tools. They are equivalent to Wooden tools.
Psyched for the water update tomorrow. Does anyone know the time he's releasing it at, or does he even know himself?

Those are all different veins within one minute of eachother. Infact i am going to make a gravel base out of it. And I wish i could share my wealth with those less fortunate.
Are you sure you don't have any gravel? Just inspect every inch of your infdev map with cartographer.
