I did the oblique on my 20MB world. Here is the end result. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Didn't someone make a program to sync indev files? Like every time you restarted the program, your save got updated with the other person's changes. A dummy MP. Infdev ver would be cool.

Now rendering Oblique.
Just drop lava on the top of a brick, like this:
First Layer:
XXX
XBX
XXX
Where X = Nothing and B = Any kind of brick.
Then, drop the lava. Second layer:
XXX
XLX
XXX
Then it's going to do some kind of waterfall all around it, til the ground.
Finally hit the bottom level, even though by now I have a lot of iron and coal. My use of torches is now obsolete once I get a bucket and possibly some glass.
Don't know what happened to my First map.

Quicker than cutting 'em down for wood and space to build.
You never need that much trunk unless there's a coal shortage, and it's easier to skim the remains of a fire and replant than it is to deal with all that fucking foliage.
