Only on the harder difficulties - I'm pretty terrible at fighting the mobs, so I like just making a house and mucking about, with the mobs there as a source of the exclusive resources.

You need to craft a hoe and then till grass/dirt for seeds, then you can plant those seeds and let them grow.

With the way the durability system currently is, I usually make armor, a sword, an axe, and pretty much nothing else with diamonds.
Really, durability works perfectly fine, but I hope he remakes it eventually, making diamond pickaxes and shovels is just a waste in the long run.

I want to do this with gold and diamonds and put them in the same room
Underground. Deep underground. Stuck down here. After a long and tiring return from the neighbouring territories, I set straight to work on the mines. However, a misplaced bucket of lava caused a flood and I was stuck at the bottom level. I had sealed up the way I took before due to a fear of fiery doom. Left with one damaged stone pickaxe, and 5 blocks of wood. I have to dig myself out. Or live in the mines.

You can make plenty of ladders and tools from that and it only takes 1 space.

I rendered a world with the cartographer thing but I can't find the image. Any ideas on where it is stored?
Should be in the same folder as the cartographer executable.
Well i've finally thought about buying this, can someone tell me the difference between normal modes (survival and building), Indev and Infdev? And if it's worth it for the price it's currently at?

Far more than worth it, the survival was just an alpha, multiplayer is only creative atm,
but indev is perfected, if you even remotely liked survival you will love indev.
indev has crafting, proper monster spawning, day night cycles, crafting, tools,
and infdev is the same way, except the map you play on is nearly infinite. Its going to replace indev soon.
Its 10 euro and at the time when I bought it a month or two ago it was like $13.50?

Ascalon after a bit of exploring. I like how comes that the lower middle has water on both sides. Reminds me of Anaconda for some reason.

that is ofcourse PreSearing :3: you should make Ascalon City and Ashford abbey and then you could do the farm in the middle bit, and now water flows you could even construct the skale infested river! :buddy:

i dunno if i should get this game or not. i played the multiplayer for a bit but i tend to get bored after a while. will survival mode keep me attracted to this game?
