Does anyone here have Isocraft/ other isometric rendering program that works with creative mode working properly?
*sucks thumb at the loss of all his work.
STUPID GGRRR MY INVENTORY AND JASKDASL DJAS L ASJLADSJ AS
You got to love it, but sometimes you hate it.

I think Notch should just run an update where all the wood starts on fire and water turns to lava. Just before he wipes our save.

He should make it so that in the final hours before he does the big wipe, it's infinite night time with red skies and meteors smashing into our world, slowly destroying it until we have nowhere left to run.
So you want him to waste time doing unnecessary and complicated things to our saves? That isn't very productive at all.

Permanent Hell map!
It'd be perfect if he changed the title in the top left to Minecraft Infhell.
I tried to make a waterfall.

you are no fun :saddowns:
I don't like the new caves. It could have just been my map, but they were EVERYWHERE. I couldn't walk anywhere without seeing caves, which made it annoying for me to find any suitable building location. My map also started me out on the largest expanse of tiny islands I've ever seen.

Well, think about it. If he did that he would waste a day of updates, and a day usually is worth about 1 or 2, so you are wasting 1 or 2 updates.
That is my only gripe with the new caves. You can't build shit underground because you can't walk ten blocks without encountering a cave that disrupts the style of your whole building.

Probably because you're in a region that happens to have a lot of caves. Notch said that different regions will have different amounts and sizes of caves.

It wouldn't be too hard, maybe just make the properties of water like the ones of lava, it wouldn't be harder then copy-paste.
And maybe he adds creepers spawning all the time.
Well fuck, there goes my inventory too. Guess I will just wait for the save wipe and start a new game then.
FFFFFUCK CREEPERS FROM THE SKY
I had a nice base on top of a pillar with a nice stairway up to the base. I exited my stairway at the base of the pillar, to start gathering iron (and water :v:)
And, well, let's just say it felt like a plane was dropping bombs on me. :ohdear:
Man I love the adventure. I have a little rapids area I call "Whitewater Mountain" that I constantly get swept away by, and every time I go somewhere different. i lately got swept into a cave and died of a long fall and some mob.

I want this world.
I'm starting to get a little annoyed with Minecraft. The caves (although regional) are far, far too big and too numerous (even in regions with not much). Lighting them up so mobs will not spawn in them is ~impossible, seeing as you'll need a LOT of torches and probably die from a mob anyway. Sure, you can play on Peaceful, but then it just isn't fun.
Also, the whole wipe-your-inventory thing if you run the isometric map viewer.
ALSO, the "oh and im also taking away all of ur hard work k" thing.
I'm getting frustrated. I could live with a lost inventory and maybe even start a new map, but the caves are driving me absolutely insane.
I know Notch is working hard and all (and I respect him for that!), but he seems to be just pumping out as much content as he can without giving any regards to bugs or large-scale gameplay impacts.
I'm still hanging out on my save, and will keep playing it until the wipe. I don't get why people would stop playing it until the wipe.

You know that huge cave system that i got all the iron from? I only saw 1 skeleton and 1 creeper in total. Not that hard to light it all up

This is pre-beta, but I am a bit frustrated.
To counteract the cave problem, just hole them up or make the first dropoff 2 blocks high. Or just hang out on top of a mountain with the only access being a waterfall.

The whole "what's the point" mentality is spreading fairly quickly.
If you really don't want to lose your save, copy it and zip it up in a RAR. Then you can upload it to MapCraft if it ever comes back online.

Wait, we're still using torches? What are we, cavemen?
Infinite lava spring. Glass. Make channel. Dump bucket. Repeat.

I'm too lazy to dig down, and I can't find any caves deep enough to find lava. I can hope, however.

project sandy beach house!
so far it only has 3 rooms done counting sana :P the sana is a fail though :(
Oh fuck. Somehow, when I opened my best world, I had spawned somewhere else that wasn't my home, and even worse, I spawned at night. On a frantic search to find my cliff house, I fell into a cave and got swept away by underwater rapids. At the end of the rapids there were two ways to go, and one way I could see light. Thinking that it was already daytime and that light was an opening, I went to the left where the light was. It turns out that wasn't an opening at all, it was lava. Oh, and the path out of the lava room is very steep and dark. So now I'm just going to stay in the lava room with half of my hearts gone due to being beaten by the rapids and falling. I might be able to do something productive.
So. It's a safe day, so I thought I'd go exploring.

I almost DIED.
so i started a new world again. spotted a nice big floating land chunk to start a base on. i dig up there, illuminate the entire place to an insane degree, then suddenly, FOOM. FOOM. i get raped off my island by some goddamn skeletons. goddamnit.
I'm scared shitless of caverns now.
I'm scared shitless of caverns now.
There's barely any mobs in them so you don't even have to be scared. Maybe wary, but not scared.
