I got hacked once and there were suddenly level 1 characters on 25 realms I didn't play on, all my characters were stripped, all my gold was gone, my guild bank was empty, all my items, etc (fucker even destroyed my pvp epics you can't sell) and was using my account to sell gold.

I recovered an account from 2 years ago to find my warlock was turned into a farming toon. Made about 3k selling all the ores the dude farmed
Friend's account was hacked and the sellable gear sold. He got it back with full leatherworking and skinning, 10k gold more than he had before, and when he got his account restored, they duplicated everything they sent him. So he came out with like 30k more gold and 2 max level professions :v:
A while ago my account got hacked as well, but it was out of time so he did the RaF with another account and used mine to mine a bunch of shit.
When I got back I had like 4k more gold + ore + max mining + 280% riding.

That's something I would do actually. I have that golden rule crap stuck in my head so I don't have the heart to do anything that would upset someone else. I've played someone else's account and leveled it up and logged out.
I just enjoy playing, could care less about hacking accounts to steal money.
My bro got all the items back that he lost, and got to keep the 100k gold and craploads of enchanting mats that the poor asian spent hours killing mobs for.
