From what I remember, most of those ended up being shit-flinging contests between Praz and people he'd banned from his Orion beta servers for criticizing it.

I remember playing the ORION Source beta (I had made all the weapon animations but had nothing to do with the rest of the development) and people kept talking about how the only good thing was the animations :v:

Are you fucking kidding me? I joined their forums back in 2006, constantly checking updates and waiting for this to come out as much as I waited for Half-Life 2 to get released. Waiting years just for a release date. Praz is a disappointment to the entire modding community.

Hah. I told David the flaws with Orion Source and how they will clearly transfer over to the UDK version (It looking like a total Halo rip-off) over Steam. He tried to defend it valiantly, until he did this; He removed me after I told him to fuck off so I can watch Hellboy in peace when he asked me to donate 20$ to the KickStart.

You know I wouldn't have any issue if this "idea guy" was actually only giving his workers credit and a little compensation or the ability to put that in a resume because that's definitely much more valuable but tossing these guys out right after they've been used up? That's fucked up. Even for my standards.

Iirc, they'd been working on this mod not long after HL1 got released. So around ten years of work gone to waste just so the ideas guy could enjoy his money and false glory.

Though it doesn't help when you leave negative feedback on ModDB and he sends his goons after you to spam your page - which he did to someone on my Steam list.

I laughed so hard when I saw the trailer for Orion Prelude came out, it's literally halo with dinosaurs. Except he did the impossible and made it worse than halo.

I don't think it's fair to insult the mod. There's a lot of work from other people there that genuinely looks good. However, feel free to insult Praz as much as you like.
