I wasn't sure if I actually would play the Hitman games so I just saved them in my inventory. This counts for the badge apparently.

If anyone doesn't have a Mobile that runs steam, download BlueStacks. It's a windows application wich emulates Android, you can use it to get your achievement.

If you're not planning on buying gifts for anyone but you want the badge, when you checkout choose to gift the game, then choose the option to store the game in your inventory. Then activate the game from your inventory on your account after the purchase is complete and it will count as both buying a sale game and gifting it.

Like people crying about having games bug out, steam servers being overloaded to download achievement-related game, buying games just for achievement and then not liking them, etc. For now, we can't have nice things.
