Am I the only one who gets scared when an eyehound runs up and goes reaaaoooooooooooooooooooor? Especially in numbers because I can't crow bar them all!
eyehound = retreat to a corner, place 2 shots from glock carefully into each.

Every time I play through Ep2 I always go all :ohdear: when you're in the tunnels being chased by the antlion guard.

that
I'm not a HL2 veteran but those zombies (Normal) scare the shit out of me, they're slow but fuck me they can make you jump at the least scariest time.
stalkers, especially at e3 "look behind you" (looks and walks forward) *STALKER SCREAM* "HOLY SHIT!" "boo"
-snip- looked at page 3 after i posted. :argh:

Oh man, I just remembered the antlion guardians. In Episode 2, you get separated from the vort and are forced to deal with it yourself inside the Antlion Caves.
First, you hear a horselike noise, and then it's suddenly stampeding right the fuck towards you. You can't kill it, so all you can do is run, but Gordon doesn't move fast enough, so you have to sprint to a tunnel and hide.
God help you if your sprint power runs out.
Ithycosaurs, Nihilanth, Fast Zombies, Barnacles. Yeah.
lol barnacles? theyre so... useless

They also instantly kill any NPCs around you. It was a bitch to lead around HL1 Scientists with Barnacles on the menu.

yeah, but bunnyhopping sorta works, you can stay at a pretty much even speed to them...

I was playing Lost Coast, and I fell off of St. Olga fairly low up on the cliff, and, not wanting to have to go through an unneccesary loading screen, I steered for the water. No biggie, right?
Well, then I found out that leeches existed. And by god. LEECHES.
Still what do you mean scary, Do you mean by First time you see it Shit your pants or by Everytime it comes out?
My past posts here were mostly Jump scares (having something unexpected jump at you)
Through the Beta stalker sure is creepy, that and I do not like how fucked up Alien controllers look
Leeches...Shark-thingy, and stalkers.

If you hate them now, wait until Black Mesa is released.
:gonk:
If hl2 beta count, this is the most scariest monster!!!

Poison Zombies. At least for the first few encounters. They always came from dark areas, took shitload of damage and the sounds they made...
Also they sometimes spawned in areas with one exit after you picked some nice supplies. So you basically turned around to find out they're in your face.
Voltigores from Opposing Force. Not only because they can one-hit-kill you, but there is also a level set in dark tunnels full of these creatures...
The poison zombie from ep 2 during Freeman Pontifex.
That growling made my adrenaline go up like fuck, it was the only HL2 level where I was too scared to go on..
Hunters. Just because they keep meeting me around corners and shoot their flechettes before I can shoot my SMG nades.
this
thing
<---------
hoppermines, those buggers are nasty in the dark, one of them got me 5 times IN A ROW just because i was focusing on something else and didn't see the red light(it was in the dark)
Itchysaur or Fast Zombies
VALVe should add a dog-like enemy. I mean, spiders are fun and all, but nothing beats the horrifying realization of a low, threatening growl from a waist-high monster that moves twice as fast as you. Just watched an LP of Cryostasis, and those zombie dogs were freaking me the fuck out, even though I wasn't the one fighting them.
