That's basically it for all the general games. Some games require different settings, just look up on the forum for the recommended settings for these particular games.(Also use Direct X 9 and not OpenGL obviously) When using the controller plugins, use the "New" ones and not the regular ones, the New one's function much better.
I looked at their forums and it still plays like shit. Its not that slow but the top half of the screen is pixely and the bottom half is smooth. That bothers me a lot.
Is that a flopping condom in the top right?
i'm the guy that made the one-line widscreen hack.

I recommend using [img_thumb] and [ /img_thumb] tags.
I wouldn't say that's entirely the fault of the wii though. Devs can't be arsed. There's more impressive games for the Wii and that's mainly because they are only on the Wii. MH Tri for example.

Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 look incredible though. If a style is used, and the developer gives a damn, Wii games can look pretty good.
Actually, you're right.
There are a lot of games like the one I posted though.
It astounds me too, that The Beatles: Rock Band. I was really impressed with the production values of the Xbox version.
