Anything new going on with this game? I loved it when I played it, but I'm really hoping the creator is doing new stuff.
Last Update was 12.03.2008 and i think it's dead.
But there is a guy making a really good mod and i hope he finish it.
Edit:
Oh, and i was going around the editor and i saw the option Multiplayer or something like that. Is there anyway to play this game Multiplayer?
It was never functioning.
Yes, but it is really messed up. Like, if you are attacking a lion, then the other person sleeps, you sleep with him.
How can i catch the butterflies?

I think the combination for a net is cotton and branches.

Holy shit that was a long time ago.
And this was fun for a while.
Also, if you're smart, the only weapon you'll ever need is a slingshot. You can just stand on a rock and shoot at whatever.
I love this game, I played it forever until I got bored with it because I made about everything. Before I knew how to do much I survived on eating weed and grain...mmmmmmm. I found it on yoyogames.com for some reason?(GameMaker's website)
I just discovered how to plant that thing that you can use to make bread. :v:
Also, discovered how to make iron by reading the iron/hammer description that i need to use the hammer to make stuff using iron. And i discovered how to make that special branch after i read the description. And i discovered how to use cord by...ah you know.
I should have read the damn descriptions! :argh:
Stranded is fun until you realize that everything you do is the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.
I played this religiously for about a week then realized all you do is hold down mouse 1.
Double posting is fun until you realize that everything you post is the same thing over and over and over and over and over again.

Where does flint come from?
The place where there is ores i think
your face
it comes from your face
Where does flint come from?
Flint (or flintstone) is a hard, sedimentary cryptocrystalline form of the mineral quartz, categorized as a variety of chert. It occurs chiefly as nodules and masses in sedimentary rocks, such as chalks and limestones. Inside the nodule, flint is usually dark grey, black, green, white, or brown in color, and often has a glassy or waxy appearance. A thin layer on the outside of the nodules is usually different in color, typically white, and rough in texture. From a petrological point of view, "flint" refers specifically to the form of chert which occurs in chalk or marly limestone. Similarly, "common chert" (sometimes referred to simply as "chert") occurs in limestone.

Thanks man.
I played this a few times. It was fun. I tried to make my own island, put it up on filefront, got one download and I let it get deleted. it wasn't a good island.
adventure mode was fun, on the first Island I just made my own camp near one of the fishing areas and purged the area of fish. I would've moved, but by then I had my own entire complex on that area. containers, shelter, hut. most of my days were spent fishing, eating, then wandering around the island to find materials. then I got bored and progressed through the story.
What the hell is cord?
What the hell is cord?
You make it from "using" cotton/wool.

OH! I saw people said to use cotton but I didn't know they actually meant the use button.

I made Massive Mod.
Latest version is here:

After you download that, download this fix for the fire, just replace your objects_buildings.inf with it.

I'm builder20 (Dvd) on Steam, and Builder2-0 on the Unreal Forums.
EDIT:
I just realized that without a readme\explanation a lot of the features of MM will confuse new players and make it impossible for them to survive. The most confusing features are probably the fire fuel system and the grill:
Fire needs to be fueled. Logs, bark, and branches can all be used to fuel the fire. Just take it into your hand and "attack" the fire with it to add it to the fire. Branches and bark give less fuel than a log does. Currently there is no system for telling how much fuel a fire has, besides the occasional message when the fire gets low on fuel. Torches don't require fuel, but need to be re-lit every once and awhile.
Now, the grill. After you build the fire, you can build a grill on it. To cook any of these items:
Meat (the big one)
Small meat
Raw steak
Chocolate dough
Berry dough
tropica dough
coconut dough
banana dough
dough
raw fish
raw shark meat
You take the food into your hand and toss it onto the grill (by throwing it, left click). Then you can go run off and do other stuff. The food will cook by itself. You can currently throw as much food as you want on the grill, so feel free to toss 20 small meats on it and be grilling them all at once.
If you have any other questions, ask here.
How do you make a hammer?
