Stranded II - God damnit I need two more vines. - Games

Too bad this game doesn't work on windows 7. Or atleast I can't find a fix for it anywhere.

Well it works. Still trying to find a map where it doesn't bug out. Ok, it works fine. But there is some kind of retarded word filter. You can't say 'or' 'worlds' or 'words'. Also, half the things are in german for some reason.

I love the Weed Grandpa. He lives right next to a few lions and that is just great for me equipped only with a slingshot.

That's odd. I have Vista but I got the memory access violation and the Windows 7 fix fixed it.

Wait a minute, if I download the Win7 fix, it removes all possibility of using the multiplayer mod?

If you've just wandered in here, there are a few things you should know. The multiplayer is partly untranslated. I've uploaded a fixed version here that translates everything except sleeping/saving into English. [U]*Link removed because I fucked up yet again. Will reupload after I have tested it properly this time.*[/U] You can only have two people at once playing in this version, more than two are not supported yet. Survivalmap.s2 is quite laggy for the host for some reason, so I suggest you consider lowering your graphics settings. The privat tick box in multiplayer.exe lets you create private servers. They work like this: If you type 'ABC' into the private box and tick the box then click create. Anyone who types 'ABC' into the box and clicks join can join it. EDIT Ok, after a little testing. I figured out that the german and english version will be incompatiable. I can fully translate almost everything into English. But it's a waste of time. Sorry to get your hopes up guys. Btw, you can use the steam overlay with stranded if you add a shortcut to multiplayer.exe and stranded2.exe in steam. The ingame chat is buggy and shit at the moment, so use steam to talk to your friend instead.

Man, I love this game. Every time I remember it I pretty much instantly reinstall it and play.

The game's pretty good, but I fear that I don't find there to be enough content packaged with the game (items, etc.) in my opinion. Great game though, used to play it all of the time.

I cant figure out how to start a fire... what the hell? i put the twig and bark together, and combine, it sits there multiple times trying to start fire and fail. its too wet! WTF. Then I found 2 flint.... and I laid one on the ground, and began hitting it with the other flint i had, to create a fire on some twigs I laid on the ground... and i saw sparks, then the flint on the ground dissapeared......... And..... no fire.... sigh.

Has anyone been able to play multiplayer with windows 7? I have to use a modified exe for windows 7 to be able to play without a "memory access violation" error. I don't think Stranded multiplayer would work with my exe.

This is going to be a dumb question but is there any way to make the game windowed? My monitor is widescreen and the game looks stretched like crap.

I remember I saw somewhere online that there was work being made on a Multiplayer Version of this....
