Medieval II: Total War - Great Turn based/Real time tactics game! - Games

Do the Romans come with a special ability were they get naked and rape the opposition, plaguing them with STIs? Cause there should be.

They have some good early stuff but once you compare them to the HRE, France, Spain, England, Turks, Egypt, Mongols, and the Timurids, they are the shit past the first few early battles. Just remember to bring a lot of horse archers to the table with the Turks and Byzantines and you can hold out.

I fucking hate france, they ally me and suddenly they attack all my cities in 1 turn. It pisses me off so now i have falled back to england.

France is no more! :holy: And I... Accidently Conquered England :downs:

Countries are more likely to hold up to their alliances.

France allied with me for 6 turns, sent assassins over and over again and finally kill my governor, and I discovered it was them. And before I had the chance of breaking the alliance and declaring war, they siege Caen. It was a slaughter, my armored swordsmen just had to sit at the gate and wait for the militia to charge in and get cut up. Then, I gathered the largest army I could get, and steamrolled Paris. It was great, I cheated france into paying me 10,000 florins and giving me 2 cities when they asked for a ceasefire. [b]Edit:[/b] Oh shit, it says Ghengis Khan and a shitload of Mongols are coming. They say its a large army, but I haven't actually seen the unit yet. Is this bad?

Is this bad?[/QUOTE] If you aren't near the east side of the map(Russia, Turkey, Middle East) then they shouldn't bother you until later. They show up with like 3 full stack armies I think(not sure though). What you really have to be worried about, however, are the Timurids, they have Elephants(riders armed with guns) and Elephant Artillery.

I hate the Pope. Honestly, his missions are worthless and sidetrack me. I spent 9 turns doing his little crusade, took the city, and am now defending myself from all of Egypt's army with 2000 men.

The old pope was somewhat nice to me, he allowed me to attack France and Scotland, now that France has 3 provinces now, he is getting pissed and wants me to back off. I took Scotland though. I don't know how badly I want to end France, if that means that Aragon(ally to France), HRE, Spain, Milan, all attack me.

Someone agrees that Poland ALWAYS gets the first crusade? It always happens for me :(
