Well how it is TOR WoWish TOR will have open cities i belive and you can viste planets own a ship and a vehicle of some sorts it maybe good Hope after that we get KOTOR 3
I think the thing here, is that they will make a decent start wars MMO, they just won't make something as shattering as SWG (which I think is going to be the main complaint with that game). Personally, TOR is far too WoWish for me, won't be playing it long term. I'd rather it just be KOTOR with multiplayer.
I agree. The Old Republic looks fun and I will play it but it will NOT be able to reach Galaxies Pre-NGE. I think that it will become popular but mainstreamed popular WoW not appealing to the true fans.
If does Beat Galaxies Such making towns cities and being to make massive attacks that will be great

After watching the videos of the game, it plays just like WoW. Not for me, I'm from the older generation of MMO's, I require a bit more involved systems and not dumb-down-to-mainstream ones.
Does anyone play Galaxies anymore? I never got to see Pre-NGE and have recently been offered an opportunity to get back into it. Is it worth it?
Does anyone play Galaxies anymore? I never got to see Pre-NGE and have recently been offered an opportunity to get back into it. Is it worth it?
Not worth it simply due to the dieing community. Having not played Pre-NGE you won't miss what they took away.
I think a good analogy for what they did to SWG would be if Blizzard had removed every class in WoW except Warrior. Even then, they also took out just about every non-combat activity as well.
I just realized, if they make a KotOR 3 it'll be in TOR's Art Style
The emu team went underground, it as of last note was still being developed but I read somewhere the current devs are not as active as before. As for the emu team going underground, some people went onto station SWG and started linking and advertising the emulator which had sony on the emu teams ass's.

They have a test server up for one of them with about 800 players. It's not incredible the player-amount but it's decent. I played the EMU today however and it was lacking alot. No vehicles/tutorial/explorer missions. Probably more. I was confused and without the lack of tutorial and the useless afk community inside the cantina I left. Star Wars Galaxies is as good as dead and no EMU is going to revive it, nor will Sony. I have hopes on The Old Republic however. I know it won't be Galaxies amount of freedom with housing and player-run cities but it will be good. I've seen the conversation system and such in action and it impressed me to see it pulled off so dynamically in an mmorpg involving 2 players with each their own role.
