When you're replaying a game on a harder difficulty and three saves in-between the beginning of the level and the end are taken out. Fuck you, Endgame. Fuck you.
i have to say the iron maiden\Regenerator in RE4, or swiming at all in games. eversince the eel and the fish in super mario in 64.
Nuthouses that get turned into orphanages that are also at the end a nuthouse AND an orphanage at the same time and then they burn down in a massive fire. And when you turn the lights on, it gets worse. THAT's what scares me.
dark, alone, and weird ambient noises and *POP* comes an enemy, filling he screen lol :P
The ENTIRE LSD Dream Emulator game.
Would anyone care to explain just why Call of Cthulu is so scary? I'm too chicken to watch videos myself. :saddowns:
Tanks in L4D2 In L4D, they were common. In l4D2, they are rare. But they are fucking creepy with their theme music and their power to find concrete ANYWHERE.

Now a tank in a tight, dark area in L4D1? On Expert? Scary.

In Half Life 1, I remember a part where there was this room, filled with boxes and trip mines... You set one off and it makes a chain reaction... God that was freaky.
In Metro 2033, The lost catacombs, in the hall right by the Long barrel Revolver, when you see the nosalises leave the gate, wait in that hall. Piss your pants.
Pretty much anything in penumbra.
Jesus christ like the first scene in the first part when you are in the boat is terrifying :tinfoil:
Noclipping out of the map always makes me feel uneasy for some reason. I also get quite the 'OH GOD' when I fall through the floor. For some reason I don't like the black void you find when you leave the map.
It feels like I could get lost in the void and discover something never meant to be found. :tinfoil:

Seeing yourself in Portal.
Drowning in the original Sonic games. That music kicks in, the numbers flash on screen, rapidly counting down as you struggle to get to some bubbles...
When you see the freakiest motherfucker in the game when you enter an area, then you hear something behind you when you're walking along in the dark. Turn around and find that the fucker from the beginning is chasing/stalking you. You then proceed to waste all your ammo in an attempt to kill it and then sit your ass in a corner for the next five minutes waiting for another one to show up while quicksaving every two seconds. That sort of situation. Or when you've been totally convinced that the series of incredibly creepy things you just saw were merely flashbacks. But then all of a sudden you're attacked by the thing that was tearing the place up before you got there.
The LOKI mechs would like to speak with you.
And then theres Atlas =) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l_nlpVtLyUk
