All of penumbra, the atmosphere of that game is just scary.I am always expecting something to happen and it doesn't because some of the stuff my friend showed me.
The ultimate chimera from Mother 3. Once that thing sees you in the chimera lab you know your fucked.
Oh yeah, And redeads. They creeped the shit out of me as a kid.
For me, it's the sounds in the background...
and not knowing what the fuck is happening.
This is why Dead Space was fantastic. The mystery unraveling, and listening to it all... hearing it through their voices..
also, unexpected suprises.
Dead Space was full of these...
but Bioshock was the best creepy game in my opinion. Not because it jumped at me, or was startling, but it FUCKED WITH YOUR HEAD. Nothing in a game comes close to Rapture. The city without morals, what fucks me brain most is how every great mind in the world came down here, and now they got completely fucked up by greed, and drugs. Scary shit.

Almost crapped myself the first time I saw that in Silent Hill 4. These random things that in the end are not so random are what makes the Silent Hill games so awesome.

oh man silent hill 4. When I have my focus on another part of the screen and I see something blurry moving on the other side of the screen, but I cant recognize it because of wrong focus.
Combine this with 5 bloodsuckers swarming around you this way, it took my five minutes to see they were bloodsuckers.
And they just wouldn't attack, seriously they kept running from cover to cover around me and I couldnt get out. It was in some buildingcomplex at night.
I'm pretty sure that was the reason I unistalled stalker, was a great game but it freaked me out.
Well not EXACTLY like it, of course. But it's similar. I'll take it on Friday. I can't take it now because I'm at mat Dad's house.
Every single horror game scares me in every single way. The ambient sounds just creeps me out, the fact that there can be something jumping right behind me scares me, if something just comes out of nowhere on the floor, or if a corpse or something stands upp and turns into a zombie.
The fucking librarians in metro 2033, I turn my back for 1 second and bam, one of them is right behind me.

wow...i forgot about the water wraith...Jesus that thing scared the hell out of me...and it appeared two level down...and I was too scared to fight that damned thing on the boss level...that and i didn't know how to kill it until a while ago XD
oh yeah...i remember now...i "accidentally" killed it on the level I first encountered it...i just didn't know how. XD
