The TRADITIONAL definition of zombie is something that was once dead, then came back to life.
It's only because modern movie and game makers are so afraid their product will sound too cheesy if they use the word "zombie" so they changed it to "infected" to be more realistic or credible or something. Though sometimes you [b]do[/b] still see zombies... And I think they're more likely to appear in games than in movies nowadays.
Oh yea, because of those old classics of the fact zombies kill the prey before they come back, and then the virus whatever, reanimated them.
